2027. We all finally convince Bryan that the cast recordings he keeps petitioning for are never going to come out!!!!

2029. Lestat is released on iTunes and the casts of Good Vibrations and In My Life go into the studio and records the entire show. Bryan laughs at all of us.

I refuse to accept that prediction of B'Way's demise! Sure, I'll be 70 by then and probably past caring (well that's a lie), but I think reports of B'Way's death have been greatly exaggerated since... well since B'Way was born really!

In other news, I'm traumatised by people's predictions of Wicked's longevity...

2008: One of the Olsen twins is playing Roxy in Chicago... the other one demands a part and gets cast as Velma but the only available part is Mama Morton. She gets it instead.

2009: Sondheim FINALLY gives us a new musical. (I had to wish for SOME good news along the way! re: The Next 50 Years of B'way)

2012: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone headline Rocky vs Terminator: The Musical... movie to follow. During the promotion tour, Arnhuld announces he's running for president.

2016: Chicago celebrates its 20th anniversary on Broadway and announces that they intend to reunite Kevin Federline and Britney Spears on stage in the main parts.

I know I know... I'm a little harsh on Chicago but I am still digesting the recent casts.

this is a.m.a.z.i.n.g.

2040: 24: The Musical opens on Broadway to critical acclaim. It is considered an intensive theater experience as it is a full day performance...as in the audience sits in their seats for a full 24 hours. The show is performed every other day, as to give the actors time to rest. The ushers serve snacks in two hour intervals and there is a bathroom break following hours three, seven, twelve, seventeen, and twenty one.

2010: During a performance of RENT, the "hunk of junk" to the side of the stage collapses and knocks over the ladder, while Mimi is performing OUT TONIGHT...the actress takes on some injuries. The producers of the show think it will cost much to replace it/fix it, so they simply shut down the show on Broadway.

(20 year period with no RENT on Broadway...)

2030: The producers from RENT, some of them now late into their lives, bound to die soon, realize that they could've just dug through a garbage can and thrown some Christmas lights together and there's a hunk of junk, once again. RENT is revived the following year with Justin Timberlake as ROGER and Cameron Diaz as MIMI...but then a replacement is cast in to take over for Cameron, due to the fact that the producers once again realize they were idiots and cast the role with somebody of the wrong ethnicity...

Yeah, wasn't REALLY funny but I was bored.

"2035: Disney acquires property in Times Square, forces the existing tenets to vacate and tears down the existing structures making way for a new towering Disney Times Square Resort complete with three brand new state of the art Broadway houses. The first show produced is SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRON. The show features alternating celebrity guest narrators and is sung by a lone vocalist with Choreography by Twyla Tharp danced by an ensemble who dress as horses and Indians in costumes designed by the latest winner of "Project Runway"."

SPIRIT isn't Disney, and if Disney owned theatres, that would suck. I would want Neerlander theatres and 2 hotels.

2012- Corine's Corner the musical premiers. Nobody can understand it due to the excessive use of commas and bad grammar.
