Hey Frogs_! Great news! Thanks for bringin' back the PS Love Thread... Any way we Scaryotypes could get tix to the Tribeca thing? The link didn't work for me just now. Party time, either May or the summer - the more people, the better. Yay!
Passing Strange [PASSI] Feature Documentary, 2009, 134 min Directed by: Spike Lee Interests: Adaptation, African American, African American Director, Drama, Musical, NY Director, Social Issues
After a sold-out run at The Public Theater, a Broadway transfer, and multiple nominations and awards (including a Tony), the spectacular Passing Strange played its final super-energized performance in 2008. But before that final curtain, Spike Lee captured the show on film, amazingly retaining and transmitting the power and intensity of co-creator/star Stew and crew's performances so that nobody has to miss one of the greatest theatrical productions in recent memory. Join Lee, Stew, and co-creator Heidi Rodewald for a conversation following the screening. Read More Sat, May 02, 7:00PM No Location Entered In your Calendar

Does anyone know how much single tix are for PS at Tribeca? I can't seem to find it on their website. April 14th for single tix buyers, right? Updated On: 4/4/09 at 06:34 PM
Hi Scaryotypes - Anyone get the "Tribeca pkg.tix" yet, or are most of us waiting till the 14th for single tix AMEX to go on sale? Anyone get a ticket yet for PS film?
The new season at The Vineyard Theatre was just announced, and it is going to kick off with a new show written and performed by Colman Domingo!
"The new season will kick off in September with A Boy and His Soul, written and performed by Passing Strange's Colman Domingo. Directed by Tony Kelly, the production is described as a "moving and hilarious new play that explores the life-experiences of a young African-American man in 1980s Philadelphia, propelled by the beat of classic soul music."
"Winning a Tony this year is like winning Best Attendance in third grade: no one will care but the winner and their mom."
-Kad
"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

yeah, it's gonna be a BLAST! (Coleman!) I don't have an AE, but have a VISA. Anyone want to get a PS FilmFest Tic for me on the 14th, and I can pay you back cash? Otherwise, I gotta wait till the 20th. boo.
Yes, a rather trauma-inducing computer glitch for those of us who tried to get tickets for the first 45 minutes or so and thought we'd be relegated to the rush ticket line! But I'm glad they worked it out--this should be one of the coolest events of the year, and I'm really thrilled that I'll be there!
1 ticket available TONIGHT (5/2, saturday) to PS Premiere. This is a last minute thing (due to illness). Pls. contact me ASAP by PM, and I will contact you by 4 pm. The film starts at 7. Only contact me if you can definitely go. It's on West 57th st. Thanks.
Check it out guys! The next thing to look forward to. Stew and Heidi will be taking part in Lincoln Center Out of Doors this summer. They'll be presenting a new show: The Broadway Problem on August 19th at Damrosch Park. That's the park next to the Met Opera house.
Hey Scaryos, fans, etc.: fyi - if you're a "friend" of David Ryan Smith (Stew's undestudy in PS) on Facebook, he just posted some cool rehearsal photos.
Also, mark your calender for August 16, Stew at Lincoln Center outdoors. Ck. out Frogs_' post. I believe those things are free.
