If I knew how, I would. Technology is not my friend. It should go up on the ABC website, though.

So, um, I don't know if we're supposed to be able to access this link or not, but I give you the In the Heights edition of Stage Notes: A Field Guide for Teachers.
Some of the synopsis are a little wrong (Nina's come home from Berkley, Nina returns to Stanford using Abuela's money, etc.), but it's overall actually a rather brilliant little book, especially if only for the intro letter from Lin-Manuel Miranda...and not to mention the script excerpts! In the Heights Stage Notes
wow that is pretty fabulous. Do they sell it in book form? they should

(Tick, Tick... BOOM!)
Lin's intro made me happy. I'm gonna show this to my friend who is a drama teacher, it's really cool.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!"
-Kermit the frog"I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P."Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu""...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu

Already mentioned this on the main board, but I recently interviewed Karen Olivo, aka Vanessa... I of course thought that the show was unbelievably fantastic and that she was as well, so I contacted them and wound up interviewing her for my interview website! She's lovely. And we talk about The [title of show] Show, too. And she paints!
Are you talking about going to the filming? Well if you are I'm not sure with GMA but I was on the Today show about a year ago and people just stood behind the barricades, first come first serve.
I just set my DVR (Tivo) for both the nominees and GMA
I'm pretty sure the cast wil be performing in the studio, as opposed to Bryant Park (where the GMA concert series eventually goes). You can go on their website and put your name in for tickets. They let people watch from outside as well.

i think i am going to preorder the obcr later tonight and i also got the souviner book cost fifteern dollars(the cast signed it for me at the stagedoor). first of all i couldnt take a picture of the understudy board because there was much pushing and shoving there but it was last minute that at the may 11th performance krysta rodriguez went on for role as vanessa. she was amazing and wonderful, loved her voice. also she was so sweet at the stagedoor and was happy i also brought my souniver book from spring awakening and she was joyed to sign that for me as well. i prob saw her in good viberations the time i went if she was in the ensemble that day. this show should win the tony for best musical. not going to review the whole show but the cast was so awesome at the stagedoor. lin carried out his nephew, he got aww so cute. by the way i asked andrea burns about if they are still going to be on good morning america tuesday and she said yes and then she added they will be peforming in the 8:00am eastern time hour.

Aww, so they're performing in the studio? What with the way the press announcement was reading ("takes Times Square by storm") I was totally thinking they were going to be performing out on the street, maybe commandeering some random bodega to perform in front of. :)
Have fun! I shall be glued to tonyawards.com during the 8am hour.
I saw that too, but when they called I asked if the cast was going to be performing in the studio and was told , "yes, absolutely."

have fun for those who are going to be in the studio tommorrow for this show. i have to say krsyta does sound exactly like karen. at least nothing will be censored.
i am sure they are getting nominated for best musical hopefully they perform "in the heights" or "96,000" there at the tonys.
sorry i am always going to think of rod in the role of vanessa. i agree with the person on this thread who wrote that she does have wonderful chemistry with lin.
I actually have to completely disagree with you. I don't think Krysta sounds a thing like Karen. Karen has much more power and a bigger belt than Krysta. Krysta gave a lot of nice subtle, sweet moments, but paled in comparison to Karen's Vanessa.
And I want to be in the studio for GMA.....
