Yes, I love him in Camp! I swear I was sitting at the show through the first act and half of the second trying to figure out where I had seen him before before I finally realized it was that movie. Guess I wasn't paying enough attention while reading the playbill...
Just got back- Krysta was on as Vanessa, and she was so good !!! Put her own spin on the role--- Her chemistry with Lin was excellent !! Stagedoored tonight-- (dont usually during the week--- have to get up too early!), but glad I did !
Everyone was so nice !! Robin has to be one of the nicest performers you could ever meet !!!
Theatre was packed tonight, and looks like they have been doing great business since the Tony noms.
I told Lin that a bunch of us already had our tix for the 17th, and he smiled, and said "that could be an amazing show, or a really weird one"- My guess?? AMAZING SHOW !!!
Testing, I was there too tonight The show was so much better than it was the first time. Krysta was great as Vanessa. I overheard at lotto that Karen was a little under the weather (I shouldn't say more) and is home resting up. Hope she gets better soon!
Well I'm 2 for 2 with lotto for this show and I hope my luck makes it 3 for 3 on June 17th.
So glad the box office boomed, this show deserves it all
Yeah, Robin is a sweetheart! I was a fan of his before seeing the show and was sooo excited to meet him! Can't say enough good things about the boy
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!"
-Kermit the frog"I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P."Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu""...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu
After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
Karen is still out? Ouch- poor baby- hope she's getting a lot of rest! Glad y'all are getting to see Krysta!Vanessa though.
June 17th is gonna be a amazing show, no matter if or what or however many or whatever happens on June 15th...MyLife, you're gonna try lotto that night? Good luck with that!
even though i didnt get lotto on tuesday i can honestly say that i really enjoyed the show from the mezz! It definitely deserves that lighting design nomination. Choreography too. I knew both were good, but you can really appreciate it from the above.

Also ditto from the rear orch (where I was on Tuesday)- if offered those rear orch seats at $31.50 take them, they're such a great view of the choreography and lighting! Especially the lighting, you miss a lot of the lighting from the lotto seats- I never realized exactly how brilliant the Carnaval to Atencion transition was before. Genius.
Hey, there's nothing wrong with obsessing. I only wish I had the money or the time to see it more. I tried the lotto again on Wednesday and lost... this lotto is just not working for me.
I was rear Mezz, G2--- There was someone 2 rows ahead of me (same side) that was screaming more than I do--- especially after "96,000"- ! Anyone from here?
Robin de Jesus profile piece, including interviews w/ his high school musical director and co-star. I loved the last quote:
DeJesus called his mother yesterday in Puerto Rico to tell her about the honor.
"My mother didn't really grasp how big it was," DeJesus said. "Then today it was in the paper in Puerto Rico. Now she realizes how big it is." Tony nominee's roots are on Norwalk High stage
