Travolta's comment on the situation makes no sense. I get being embarrassed, but it didn't explain anything at all.

By the way, next year he has to announce Adele Dazeem as Argyle Deeza because that's her name Travoltified. We can start a wonderful pattern for the rest of their lives.

That was barely a statement from Travolta. That man needs to go away. But only after Menzel and her show's producers cut him a check for all of this publicity.

I agree - he didn't actually apologize. He said he knows he messed up and isn't going to worry about it. He didn't actually say "I'm sorry for flubbing your name in the biggest moment of your career."

But hey, it worked out for the best anyway!
