The first time I saw Xanadu. After a couple of glasses of wine with dinner and so many laughs during the show, I lost it when Mary Testa made the remark to Tony Roberts about the "tie around the head thing".

Hardest time I laughed... probably in between Spelling Bee and [title of show]. Xanadu made me guffaw at points too. And Avenue Q is a barrel of laughs as well. I can't pinpoint any specific moment, but I guess those are the funniest overall experiences I've had.

Pretty much any Improv show I have seen anywhere (Last night I went to one, took a swig of water, and something so funny happened I spat it out of my mouth like Shamu...all over the row in front of me. THAT was embarrassing.)

I'm not the biggest one for reacting in the theatre. I think it's the years of "sit still in chair, remain quiet, and everyone can hear the show" that have been pummelled into me. Genuinely hilarious stuff doesn't raise much more than a titter. When tears start streaming down my face, I keep my mouth FIRMLY shut so no embarrassing "SOB!"s emerge. I'm very sparing with my standing Os.

That being said...

'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee'
'The Drowsy Chaperone' ('Bride's Lament'; oh god, I hadn't even heard the cast recording when I went to see the show, so this part just killed me XD)

Cried
'Bent'. Yeah, who'd've thought that a play about homosexuality and the Holocaust would've had such a downer of an ending? :P

That... might be it. I know I've laughed and cried during plenty of shows, but these are the only ones with such a large reaction as to be notable. :3

Avenue Q...Baltimore... the sex scene... after the audience had quieted down, a guy about 5 rows back said, perhaps a lil louder than he meant to, "Man, that was sooo funny", thereby setting off our section of the audience again. Even the actors on stage did a quick look in our direction with that "no one usually laughs here" kind of look.
