Posted: 12/26/09 at 3:11pmOh, I'm not complaining, I got slightly choked up at the end realizing this was one of his last shows and then thinking of the little boy I had seen a year prior. But, my situation is the same as yours, just David and Kiril instead of Trent and Kiril.

Posted: 12/26/09 at 4:54pmI must also agree about Kate. I thought she was great. I had apprehensions going in, as I had only seen Hadyn in the role before, and I was really pleasantly surprised. I haven't seen Trevor and I never saw Frank. I enjoyed Keean the two times I saw him, but don't think anyone can equal David Bologna in the role (although I am open to being proven wrong)

Izzy Hanson-Johnston will be replacing Maria Connelly who will reprise the role as Debbie Wilkinson in Chicago. Why do the production team always keep Debbie off the main cast list?. Her and the ballet girls dance more than Michael.
Chicago/Tour Cast start rehearsals today.

I have a single ticket to Billy to David Alvarez's last on Sunday at 3 pm. The ticket is in the rear mezz and it is considered partial view.I have had this seat before and the partial view is very limited. I am selling it for $90, but I am willing to negotiate. It is a print out ticket so I can either email it to you or give it to you before the performance. Send me a message if you are interested.

Liam is a great kid too, it may take him a few more times to build up his stamina. Is he pure ballet with electricity?.
Also, last night was Maria Connelly's Last night as Debbie on Broadway but will move to Chicago to start rehearsals there. Izzy Hanson-Johnston(orgingal/former Alison Summers) will begin as full time Debbie tonight.

How partial is partial view? I might be interested.
Oh, and to whoever was complaining about them never putting Debbie on the main cast list, I agree!

electricity was pure ballet.. and it was so nice seeing the curtain go back up after curtain call and seeing connelly with all of her friends and family taking pictures..
btw, quick question.. i remember either reading something or watching a video (maybe jbara's backstage videos?) where they explained how the hole had to be dug for the house set and they needed to find a way to pull out the device used and they showed a picture of the big dirt pile and trench.. i was telling my mom about it last night but i canot find it online.. if anyone even remotely understands what i am talking about and could help me find it that would be great

Posted: 12/30/09 at 2:24pmI am one of those people that prefer partial view rather than sitting far back. Sitting in partial view you really only do missed a couple of minutes. It is a very central show, so there is not a whole lot going on the sides of the stage.

Why is the rotation skipping David in his last week there!?
re: re: The New Billy Elliot Love Thread#1216
Posted: 1/2/10 at 11:24amHello. David will go on probaly tonight(Trent this afternoon) and def tomorrow. My best bet Keean will be going on as Michael all day and tomorrow my guess. Would love to see Kyeland(Tall Boy) go on as Michael.

Posted: 1/2/10 at 12:05pmWillep - that's what I was thinking. For Kiril's last week, didn't he do every evening performance throughout the week? I figured that David would be doing the majority of this week's performances.

Kiril did five and Trent did three that week because Tommy was out with injury and David Alvarez was on Vacation.
David Alvarez last week which is this week all of the Billy's are healthy and none are on vacation.

Posted: 1/3/10 at 12:50pmJust want to say that this show is one of the best directed musicals ever. The story telling is so clear. Stephen Daldry SO deserved his Tony.

I completely agree, Fanb. It is actually the first show I have seen where I came away and was like, "Wow, so that is what happens with fantastic direction."
Best of luck to David today. He will be missed!

David's final performance was fantastic! Daldry made a speech at the beginning. Just a couple of points I would like to make:
1)Possibly the best "Electricity" I have ever seen. As he took his final stance, he let out a "yeah!". I think he knew that he just nailed that dance :) There was a minute long standing ovation.
2)I did not expect David to really show his emotions---based on what I have heard from past performances---but he let it out tonight. He cried many times throughout.
3) Keean was great...lots of tears from him during the performance. During Express he said " This is your last time, let's do better." He said "last time" about 10 times during Express.
4) David's dad was brought up a curtain call.
It is late, but I may type up more later.

I also saw David's last performance. He is an amazing dancer and performer! I was 4th row house right on the inside aisle and the cast showed so much emotion and there was such energy coming from them.
I have now seen Kiril and David, and of course would love to see more (all!) of the Billy boys. I had heard that Trent will be leaving in February. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, which day? My birthday is the 21st, which happens to be a Sunday, and I've been trying to figure out what show I'd like to see. Especially if Trent is leaving, I'd love to go to Billy. Thanks to anyone who can help!
