I have seen 4 recordings of David Alvarez' performance of "Electricity", and I notice that in each of them (in contrast to EVERY other boy I've seen doing the number) he does NOT start out with the bag over his shoulder. I was wondering if this was always the case with him, and if so, why.
I like his "take" on the song, and I was just wondering if he did not want to use the prop, or if, for some other reason he never used it. You folks seem so knowledgeable about all aspects of the show, I just thought I'd ask.

Oh, wow, I saw him 3 times and never noticed! Although, I know Kiril did use it... you've got me curious.

A group of us saw David on his debut and we actually commented on this. Every time I saw David he never took the bag.

Does anyone have any word on when Alex is returning? He's been out for quite a while now...

I think he is just taking it slow. He has been back in rehearsals for the past month or so though.

I noticed it one night when I saw the show and I mentioned it to Greg J. I asked if it was a change in the choreography and he said no - that David had never used the bag, from the very beginning. He also said that he was the only one who didn't use it.

Aw, Matthew's leaving? Adored that boy, so cute and what a talent at such a young age.

Good to hear about Alex, what exactly was his injury, does anyone know?
I never got to see Matthew (other than videos) but best of luck to him! I am sure he was great (not to mention adorable).

I think it was a knee injury. He was on crutches for a while.

Who is the new Small Boy? I saw Mitchell last summer and Luke most recently, so I didn't get to see Matthew.

Haha. "girl" in that last picture is Tessa Netting, no? Love her sock monkey hat. Got one of them myself when I was in the city over Christmas...

Yeah, the girl is Tessa Netting; there are more pictures up on the main page.
I was talking to Will Chase on Thursday night after the show and he told me a funny story about Jake's first performance. Will was on stage and realized he had never met Jake and that at curtain call he shook his hand and introduced himself while also congratulating Jake on his performance.
Anyone know when Alex Ko is going to start performances again?

That is pretty crazy how that happens, that they had never met. I mean they don't really have any scenes together, but still, interesting how that works out.

It's basically impossible to tell. You can attempt to follow the "Billy" trend on twitter and make an educated guess, but even then it's no sure bet.
