Late Congratulations on Dayton's Billy Broadway Debut, and glad to read he had a wonderful first performance here. Hope to catch another Billy show soon enough. Also, happy to read he has way different choregraphy for electrcity.
Heres the broadway.com of holidays at billy elliot with tessa netting(susan parks-starfish). Best one yet.

I don't know how I feel about street dancing for "Electricity"... I'm sure it looks great (and I might be thinking to much into it) but Billy would not all of a sudden be a fabulous street dancer, he took Ballet classes, not Hip Hop classes.

Exactly my thoughts, Wishing. This is the dance that amazes his dad with his ability. The street stuff can be impressive - but after a little of it I start getting bored. (I lost interest about halfway through that clip.) Billy's a BALLET dancer.
Liam makes his debut tonight (Wednesday)! Congratulations, Liam!

Hmm... now I begin my wild guesses of who I may see Friday night, looks like it may be David a third time.
Anyone know when Alex is cleared to return? Or if he's even been cleared...

So since it's been said a few places I guess I can post here finally that Alvarez leaves January 3.

Isn't that a monday? Do they have a show that day for the holiday schedule?

Just would like to take this moment to say how inconvenient the LIRR train schedules are... Billy ends around 11:00... the last train until 1:06 in the morning is at 11:27. You would think with the myriad groups of people taking trains after shows they would double check before making the trains so early. It used to be 11:52.
Sorry, felt like venting.

So, seeing David for the third time. I would be lying if I were to say I wasn't hoping to see a new boy as Billy but this is my first time seeing him in over a year so I'm very curious to see how he as aged.

Yeah, Wishing, when I went on Monday, I hoped to see a new one (ended up seeing Dayton) but also thought it would be interesting to see David a year later. Let me know how he's aged!

So it's intermission... David is now practically just as tall as Kate but besides that great... His voice, while deeper is the best it has ever been, the lower register suits him well. More to come...
Hey guys, if anyone's in town this weekend, and can check the board, PM me.
And thanks, WOW, for checking today :)

So last night, I'm gonna keep it pretty short as just about everyone knows my feelings on the show :]
Bottom line: I was slightly disappointed that with the exception of Kate, Trevor, and the new ballet girls and tall boy that I saw the exact same cast, understudies and all. With that said, the show, was still amazing.
I was in the front row, center stage and wow was the the show different from there! I had seen it twice from the first row center mezz and once from the mid orchestra, side. I will say the first row really lets you appreciate the ensemble, I really got up close and personal with them and was able to see just how much effort they really put in, with that said... most of the large ensembles number are lost from the front row as far as dancing goes.
The first time I saw David as Billy was exactly a year ago today (12/26), the second time was February 19th, so last night, just shy of a year I was very curious of what David would be like...
he grew A LOT and his voice got quite deep, and I have to say his voice has never sounded better! I'm not sure how to phrase this being I have never witnessed a performer going through puberty but the lower key, I guess you could say, really suits David well and complements his voice. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that he threw in a few riffs as well.
Trevor... I saw him two years ago as Chip, and a year ago as Flounder, so I guess it was only proper to see him a third year in a row in yet another role :] Now, I had only seen Frank as Michael so it took me a while to get used to Trevor but he killed it! He was so hilarious and really made the role his own, some of his acting choices did fall flat with the audience but for the most part I thought he did a great (and funny) job of adding his own touch to the role... he also gave me the smoking gun during "Expressing Yourself."
Also, David's and Trevor's singing voices compliment each others extremely well.
Kate- loved her! Loved the new costume! Loved her take on the role! Any questions lol? I will say though, her singing style did remind me of Haydn.
Also, I was sitting next to the mother of ensemble member making his Broadway debut in the show. I'm not gonna say his name to respect their privacy but I got overjoyed watching him on stage just imaging how proud the mother must have been!
Overall a great show.
jeffmiele, I'm assuming Trent will be on today, and David was on last night... so purely guessing on Tuesday I think you will be seeing either David or Liam but that is just a guess.

WOW, please don't complain about seeing David!
Haha sorry, but I've seen Trent every time, except once when I saw Kiril. I have always wanted to see David so badly, and the news that he is leaving so soon just breaks my heart (I'm almost 100% sure I won't be able to see him from now until then). I think he is the most beautiful dancer, and from what I'm told he is a very good actor as well. I really wish I could've seen him, but thank you for telling us how his performance was!
Good luck to David in the future.
