Judging from the cast recording. The two main highlights for me are
"Married"
&
"I Stayed"
The score is pretty nice, some forgettable songs - but some really good ones.
What are your favorite songs from the score?
I like various parts of "Partners." I also like "Immediate Family," "Don't Ever Stop Saying I Love You," and "I Stayed."
Great score. Don't know what those Tony voters were thinking.
Our Only Daughter
One White Dress
Don't Ever Stop Saying I Love You
Coney Island
I think the music is gorgeous throughout. The harmonies in Partners. The underscoring before One White Dress.

I enjoy "Coney Island," but would enjoy it a lot more if, say, Nathan Lane were singing it.
Amen! That's why I like you...yankee...you are always two steps ahead of me!

I heard Coney Island online and thought how lucky they were to get Harvey to sing it- a pretty voice would have made it so much less poignant.
I can't stop singing "One White Dress" but I also love "Married" and "Our Only Daughter"
But Tom Wopat does bring it home with "I Stayed"
I think Tom Wopat's "I Stayed" is the high point of the production
I got the disc in the mail yesterday and seriously cannot stop listening to it. Very poignant and gorgeous. I have to say that it might just be, IMHO, one of the best new scores I have heard in a very long time. Though I am definitely coming to NYC in August for vacation, I am going to find time to come see this hopefully next month.
My favorites: Married, Our Only Daughter, One White Dress, Vision (very chilling and wonderful), I Stayed, and Coney Island.
I was prepared to hate Harvey based on some of the comments on here, but really enjoy him.
To echo other sentiments...What were the Tony voters thinking?!!!
I have no hope of getting to NYC to see this show, but earlier today I watched the video on the show's website and everything I saw I loved. I was really surprised. I realize it was just a snippet, but I was impressed.
I agree, nmartin. It is rare that I get chills from listening to a recording, let alone on repeated play-throughs, but this definitely does that to me. Simply wonderful and touching.

"I Stayed" is the only song I remember from seeing it in San Diego.
Mr Wopat brought the house down!
