UPDATE: May 1 matinee is back on the schedule. 🤷🏻♀️
I had tickets for the Thursday May 1 matinee. I read online that ticket holders for May Thursday matinees were getting cancellation emails. I did not receive an email and there was no notification in my Telecharge account, but that performance no longer appears on the calendar.
I called Telecharge and was told they were not notified that the May 1 matinee was cancelled. However, as the friends who were accompanying me could not make it any other day, and as I pointed out the matinee no longer appeared in their calendar, they allowed me to cancel for a refund and purchase new tickets for the evening performance.
Hoping I didn’t screw up because the matinee tickets still show up in my account. Definitely don’t want to see it twice in one day! LOL
It would help to know which show you're talking about.

I've seen several people complain about BOOP matinees being cancelled in May, so that's definitely a thing.

It would help if you weren't a jerk but here we are.

Why is that being a "jerk"? I was just going to ask the same thing. But here we are still.

There's a way to ask that is helpful and a way that comes off like you just want to be a jerk and dunk on someone for making an error. I'm sure you would have asked politely.
I was going to ask same question. No one being a jerk here. You're making stuff up again, Arnold.
If anything it’s the op who is being the jerk assuming we all know what they’re talking about. It’s pretty common board etiquette to include the show title in the subject line, or at least in the initial message. Op has been a member of the site since ‘07; there’s some expectations when posting on here. They also didn’t use the “pick a topic” feature that lets them post about a certain show.

She was as nice as she could be. She made an error. Have you never made an error?

How can anyone answer OP's question if we don't know what show they're talking about? Letting them know that they should provide important information does not equal being a jerk. Take a breath and a seat.

I apologize, I thought I was posting on the Boop message board where someone mentioned Thursday matinee ticket holders for performances later in May receiving cancellation emails.

Pot meet kettle.
Okay, so internet hostilities aside....
I think if the performance has been taken off telecharge's website, it is a good indicator that it has indeed been cancelled. I personally would have waited to refund and given it a few days in case it was removed in error, but no, I don't think you jumped the gun.

I appreciate this post. I have tickets to the May 1 matinee and haven’t received an email yet. Someone on Reddit suggested it could be they took that date off as maybe they are using that matinee for Tony voters or something else and letting the other tickets stay as is. I am hoping for that. It is weird they notified all the other dates except May 1.

The Tony voters don't get a separate viewing. They are given many dates to choose from.
As I mentioned on a separate thread, I received an email a couple of days ago informing me that the Thursday, May 8, matinee of Boop was cancelled and my ticket would be refunded.
Super bummed, as that aws a way to get a sixth show out of my trip in May.
Does anyone know of other shows with Thursday matinees or other irregular performance times prior to the Tonys? I've looked to some extent but come up empty.

The Outsiders has 1pm matinees on Thursdays, that's what I'm doing on my trip in a few weeks. Cabaret used to have Thursday matinees but it appears that is no longer the case - which was a bummer for me as I would've seen that in the Thursday matinee slot if it was an option.
Oh, Mary! has 5pm shows on Thursdays and Sundays.
Yeah, I took advantage of the 5 p.m. Thursday matinee of Oh, Mary! on my trip about six weeks ago. That was a last-minute addition. Hadn't realized it was option until I got up to the city that morning. Then saw Operation Mincemeat at 8 p.m.
That's interesting about The Outsiders and Cabaret, both of which I saw last season. I'd been thinking that the variations in schedules in April/May were to make it easier for Tony nominators and voters to catch each new show. Maybe not.
Thanks!
Love that update, Mish, enjoy the show!

Unfortunately, none of the shows I want to see (all this season) have a May 8th matinee. So for the sake of the bit, I'm currently planning to go to Gatsby on that day instead.
