The Public Theater just announced it will be closed today.
The storm isn't going to impact the NYC area as badly as previously predicted. All Broadway shows should go on as planned. With that being said, it's still a mess out there and things could get icy later on. Have any shows announced any kind of snow day deals?
Folks, you all can relax. Aside from the typical subway delays, Ubers and taxis and buses are all available and roads are already cleared so drivers are out. It's 9:20am so by noon everything should be functioning like regular.
Well, the city won't be shut down, but functioning like regular is a stretch. It's still going to be snowing most of the day and right now it's raining ice. Not a huge cause for alarm, but if you're traveling you probably want to give yourself some extra time.

I saw a discount from Phantom of the Opera.

And before some people start with the scolding for panic in the city, there is still a huge area under a blizzard warning. I'm in it & live less than 60 miles from NYC.
Yes, areas North & West of NYC are getting pounded. Likely 2 feet of snow. Those of us in the NYC area got off easy with this one. Mostly rain right now.

You do realize that many people seeing shows fly into the city (and the airports were shut down), and come from the surrounding areas that are buried in snow?!
War Paint:
A little snow never stopped Helena Rubinstein or Elizabeth Arden. We’re having a Snow Storm Special. Select orchestra seats are available 3/13 – 3/17 for $99 when you use the code: BEAUTY.

Just keep in mind that a number of train lines (maybe all?) are not running express trains and all trains are making all local stops...so your trip might take longer than planned.

I know that at this point, Broadway shows are still on for tonight as scheduled but does anyone know if box offices are open regular hours today? I don't want to trek into midtown for nothing!
KINKY BOOTS just posted a BOGO offer for today & both shows tomorrow. Code is: SNOW.
The Play That Goes Wrong just posted a good one:

$45 in all sections
Not Broadway, but Paul Taylor performance tonight is all $5 tickets:

I know as of now, nothing is a go for me because I'm on the 7 line and it's still not running above ground.

Has anyone been able to exchange tickets for tonight? The number in this tweet is always busy, and the site isn't working.

All seats for present laugher are $45 for tonight. Not bad at all.
also, almost every show is up at TKTS for tonight except the big ones(Hamilton, Book of Mormon, Wicked, Lion King & Aladdin). I'm sure all shows had numerous cancellations/exchanges.

Made an account just to post this. Please keep the updates coming on this thread! Hoping to see a show on a budget tonight. Leaning heavily towards Kinky Boots, but I also saw these. Thanks, all!

Did anyone take advantage of this? Let me know what show you were able to see and for how much. Thanks! I wasn't able to see anything because my plans ended up taking longer than expected.
