Currently in the theatre district, and it looks like over half of the area is without power tonight around 7:30pm. Im curious to see if any shows will cancel or just postpone if the power doesnt return.

A few people from the Hadestown cast tweeted that they’ve been effected.

They may be able to finally perform a show and not get giddy for a change x
Here in Hell’s Kitchen, we ZERO power anywhere. It’s a sh*tshow outside. This is crazy.
Seems like most Broadway and Off-Broadway shows are affected right now.

My friend and I are outside Oklahoma! waiting to get in. It has been affected.
Any word about if the St. James is effected?
In line to pick up lotto tickets for Tootsie... we’ve been here for about twenty minutes and they are just trying to keep the crowd informed. (And doing a great job!) Emergency lights are on but all the marquees around us are out. A little eerie.
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but it would Equity’s call to make regarding cancellation, no? Or at least a factor?
Moscow Moscow etc. at MCC has been cancelled

Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys. Stay safe!!!
Just search Twitter for #BroadwayBlackout to find out which shows are affected. So far: Oklahoma, Tootsie, Frozen, Book of Mormon, Wicked, The Cher Show, Phantom, Hadestown, anything on 45th Street.

I’m seeing some shows have canceled and Cursed Child is one of them. Not sure which the others are.

Oklahoma just canceled. Literally the reason I made this trip, so that sucks
To have this happen 30 minutes before curtain makes it tough for theaters. I doubt any wait past 8:30 before cancelling.
For sure. If shows run past 11pm, they owe everyone overtime pay, which is insanely expensive. I think a lot of decisions will be made in the next 15 minutes.
