Most likely COVID. I don't know if this is correct, but from what I hear at least a few swings were on these last several perfs.

There were a few u/s and swings on over the weekend. Hard to keep tinkering with the show during previews if several cast members are out.

Just looked this up and it seems like a variety of new Omicron sub-variants are currently more prevalent in the NY area than they are nationally.
I assume this will affect a host of other shows in the near future.

You said that before BA.5 and very few shows were cancelled during that. Wouldn't it make much more logical sense to wait and see, before saying this?

I've gone years without having a cancelled performance. In the past few days I have two. You Will Get Sick and now Almost Famous.

It's just harder for a show during previews to have the u/s and swings rehearsed and ready to gone on with short notice. There's been very few cancelled shows in the past 6 months.

Rox didn't say they would be cancelled. It is affecting shows. "A Raisin In The Sun" cancelled their weekend shows this past weekend and Ms. Brooks is out of The Piano Lesson with it.

I wonder if there is endgame for these kind of COVID policies on Broadway......I don't get the sense it's quite the same in the West End right now, for example.

Sorry about that.
From a marketing perspective, I'm kind of curious if given Covid, anyone approached Noah Diaz and asked him if he was open to renaming You Will Get Sick to literally anything else.
