Exciting! Good for him.
Oh, boy... but a paying gig is a paying gig.
2005-2006 was a promising time in his life. All the acclaim he was receiving for JERSEY BOYS; ABC signing him up to create projects that never materialized; then a detour career as a pop artist; and now returning back to where it all began.
Reminds me of 2002-2003 when Marissa Jaret Winokur and HAIRSPRAY happened. ABC signed her up for the exact same promise, blah-blah-blah.
Nothing in this life is a sure thing, folks.
To quote the late great Bob Fosse and his advice to dancers on the first day of rehearsal: "... save your money."
I'm kinda surprised since he wasn't the most popular guy backstage.
That's putting it lightly.
If you ever want to see how "fame" can turn someone into a real bitch, take a look at him.
I initially thought Jarrod Spector would be doing something just for the summer, but looks like he's off to a new project. Good for him!

It'll be interesting to see JLY five years later. He didn't really get a proper last show due to the strike, right?
Poor little thing - can't even claim to be a has-been, since he never really was anyone. Just goes to show how landing a leading Broadway role and a Tony award don't guarantee stardom or even regular work.
Thank GODDESS!! Now perhaps we can get a DVD release of Oy Vey! My Son Is Gay!!
Fame?
Sadly, aside from his friends, his family and his JERSEY BOYS fans, no one on planet Earth has any idea who he is or that he even exists.
That's why I said "fame".
Dang, haters!
Sometimes these threads read like a bunch of queenie vultures in pure orgasm.
A girl's gotta eat! And speaking of eat, didn't he do art where he bedazzled Pop Tart boxes as well?

Was he one of the ex-boys they sued for singing Four Seasons songs in a lounge act?
I think you're right. I did see him working at Pop Tart World when that was open last year.
This would actually make me go see the show again!
You must have heard of companies signing someone up and just holding them so they can't get any/other work. This is because the company has a similar 'star' signed, and they don't want the competition.
With the Tracie Bennett thread underneath this, my eyes are going all wonky and seeing something about a Jon Benet Ramsey musical.
Which would totes win John Lloyd Young another Tony.
No amount of snark can prevent my Pavlovian response to his face from occurring. He awakens my inner tween.
I don't see him mentioned anywhere in that article... if I remember correctly, he's the only one out of the original 4 leads who wasn't involved in that group, at any time of its development.
