That’s an interesting rumor

I’m sure with Katharine now it’s so they can maximise profits as much as they can before she show closes - she was above the title for her first run last year so her scheduled dates were listed on ticketmaster, but not this time! A friend of mine had a massive hassle trying to swap tickets for a date Katharine was on (she’s seen Stephanie before so it wasn’t an anti understudy thing!) - she originally was going on the 19th - and the person she spoke to at the Brooks said they couldn’t confirm her dates, even though they had them!

Anyway, pretty sure Katharine is off the 19th Dec, 29th Dec and the 2 shows on the 30th Dec. Molly is Jenna on the 29th and Steph is Jenna the other shows.

I called Ticketmaster on Monday and they had it listed in their system but they had to look around a bit to find it. They were willing to swap my ticket but after tomorrow, the prices increase. I've never seen this show before and I did want to see Kat but, I think I'll end up seeing Stephanie tomorrow because it also allows me to have an early dinner with a friend from out of town.

Hopefully you enjoyed the show regardless of who was the lead. The audiences have been pretty enthusiastic in general but more so for these last weeks.

In NYC for a Christmas trip with my ma so seeing Waitress for the final ever time on Broadway tonight and I’m going to be so sad to see it close! Upcoming Waitress casting I’m lucky I’ll still get to see it in the UK but this show on Broadway, with all the different Jennas I’ve seen, has given me so much joy over the years. May we all be so lucky .....

Oh and by some freakish coincidence we saw Andrea Bocelli in MSG last night (had bought tickets months ago for my mum’s birthday) and Kat McPhee was performing with him! One of her songs was a solo of “Never Enough” which she absolutely slayed so you know, if they ever make a stage version of The Greatest Showman she’d be a perfect Jenny Lind! lol

Yes it was definitely a very energetic audience. Stephanie got a partial standing ovation after She Used to Be Mine.

That’s pretty impressive. Actors always get a standing ovation at the end but it’s actually rare to get one mid show here (well Sara would get them but it’s Sara)  Good for Stephanie.

I’m going to miss Waitress-so much. Since it opened almost 4 years ago,  I’ll have ushered at approx 1100 shows. It was def a unique experience to be a part of.

Absolutely loved my final ever Waitress on Broadway (and my ma loved it also and was getting though the tissues lol!) - really great energy from the audience. Had a few tears too at the end knowing it’ll be my last time. Jenna’s “thanks for taking me to the moon, moon pie” line hit really hard Upcoming Waitress casting Kat McPhee was superb and has really grown so much with this role. Perfect Jenna for me. Her SUTBM was insanely good. Woulda loved to have seen Drew Gehling one last time but Dan Tracy was on as Dr P instead and I’d not seen him before, and he was v good, and v dashing!

I have to bump this thread.

Last night Molly Jobe has her 11th and final performance as Jenna: she was incredible. I wish they’d given her more shows, like when Stephanie Torns has a long run, I wish they would have split it up because Molly was amazing. I’ll never be over that performance!
