Valisia who plays DIANA ROS IS leaving Motown. Power house singer Felica Boswell stepping in. Now I wanna see Motown!

I saw Felicia in the national tour of Memphis. She was awesome! If I was in NYC, I'd go see her in Motown. I'm sure she will rock in this show!
why would LeKae leave??

how is she leaving before 6 month (or even a year) contracts are up?
They're casting a powerhouse singer to play Diana Ross? That seems counterintuitive. I guess she'll be toning it down an awful lot.
I don't get why she's leaving but she was amazing when I saw her the other night. A great talent who will be missed in the show. But on the other hand Felicia Boswell is AMAZING. I just might have to see the show again.

Felicia went on as Deena during the Dreamgirls tour quite a bit. I know Deena and Diana Ross aren't technically the same, but Felicia does have soft parts of her voice. Her "evidence" as Deena is quite good actually. This role is in her type.

Yeah, I was referring to Valisia Lekae leaving Motown.

Apology accepted. I don't deny what you said true though.

Oh, I was referring to Felicia as Diana, it's true. It's happening. :)
EDIT: I have no idea if the reason that was given in this thread is true though.

Bump. Hm, I just thought about it. Will she be headlining the tour? I recall reading a article where Kevin McCollum, the lead producer, said that Berry Gordy and the rest of the creative team will have a chance to tweak the show while on tour. I can imagine if they want her to start up the tour with the changes, and returning to the Broadway company shortly after the first year. But then again, I'm not sure.

Why would she leave to do a tour? First, normally a first national doesn't start until at least the next year so Fall 2014 because most houses have announced their upcoming seasons.
Is she just a b*tch to work with?
