Why is even on BROADWAY if it is only a venue for pop star concerts? Waste of space?
It's been there for over a decade. I don't see anything wrong with a concert venue being there.

Broadway is a street. There are lots of buildings on it that are not housing theatres.

Are pop stars not allowed to play on Broadway? Producers of broadway shows who are trying to get them to star in shows probably disagree with you

Broadway stretches almost the entire island of Manhattan

It's beneath The Lion King.
I've never been so I'm not sure if it even could be used for a legit theater space or not. If it was designed as a concert venue, then there's probably no fly space or much of a backstage.

It's a decent space for concerts/shows. I've seen Kids in the Hall, The Human League, and a few others there. I definitely prefer it to the BB Kings place.
Why is that KFC at 231st Street in the Bronx on BROADWAY if it is only a venue for chicken? Waste of space?

It is on Broadway but it is not a Broadway theater.
Seriously? Do people really mean a show or venue on the Brodaway street when they say "X on Broadway"? And techniqually it's not even ON Broadway, if adjacent to it. What I mean is, when Brodaway theaters have been way overbooked, why is here a venue for concerts and stuff while it can be somewhere else or be used for plays and musicals?

I'm just laughing over here. Yes, Broadway is an actual street - with other buildings on it. Not every theater is suitable for theatre (yes, that speling was intentional). It's registered address is Broadway, no matter where it's entrance is located. Think of it as like a large version of a House of Blues.

I think they should turn the Times Sq theater into a concert venue. Wouldn't need much loading/loading out, and it'd be great for smaller/Beacon theater like artists.

Because theres demand for concerts too?

Maybe you could put up the money to reclaim it for its "rightful" purpose.

So you are implying no one else can and will?
It wasn't built with that idea in mind. It's doing isn't fine as a concert venue. It's not a pretty old historic theater.

No, I'm implying that you seem to be the only one troubled by the way it's currently being used, which is why I suggested you take matters into your own hands.

Well, it's a better idea than Broadway 4D.

I live on Broadway. Does that mean you think that I live in the alley between two theaters?
and on Broadway in Queens I was stunned not to find one musical playing!
Unless the Playstation Theater is failing- which it isn't, since it's regularly booked- why would anyone in their right mind shut it down and convert it to a theatre venue?

This thread makes no sense??? Who died and made you mayor of midtown?
I get my mail at a UPS Store on Broadway - is that ok??? Should they be performing a song and dance for me every time I walk in to pick up a package?

It started as a movie theater then converted to a concert venue.
