Dear Evan Hansen is great and all, but it may be a tad overrated, so I hope it doesn't steal every single tony. The hardest for me to choose out of is best revival of a musical, because they are all so amazing! (Except for cats, which was sub-par.) I'm also hoping that Gavin Creel wins best featured actor for Hello Dolly, because I have always admired his work, and he truly deserves it.

Honestly, why should they? They already honored her when she won for the original production.

Right, and that certainly makes sense. My logic is that she's returned to an iconic role to mammoth fanfare and acclaim decades after she did it the first time, and that many argue she would be a contender for the Best Actress Tony yet again today.
Plus, it wouldn't be too unprecedented... for example, Yul Brynner earned a performance Tony as the King in 1952, and they awarded him the Special Tony in 1985 for his thousands upon thousands of performances in the same role. I know it's a different circumstance, of course, but awarding Close was just a passing thought I had!
A question I have now regards the Featured Acting in a Play awards.
I've compiled a list of all the possible nominees in both categories, and I'd like to know who may have the best shot at nominations.
Best Featured Actor in a Play: Michael Aronov-Oslo Anthony Azizi-Oslo Anthony Chislom-Jitney Danny DeVito-The Price Brandon J. Dirden-Jitney Nathan Lane-The Front Page Michael McKean-The Little Foxes John Douglas Thompson-Jitney
Best Featured Actress in a Play: Barbara Barrie-Significant Other Johanna Day-Sweat Sas Goldberg-Significant Other Kristine Nielsen-Present Laughter Michelle Wilson-Sweat
Is there anyone else who should be included on these lists?
I'd have to imagine some actors from Indecent have shots as nominations, and who knows what kind of roles Jayne Houdyshell and Condola Rashad have but they could be possibilities.
There's also the supporting cast for The Little Foxes (unless Richard Thomas and Michael McKeon are considered leading.)
I can also see an actor or two getting a nom from The Play That Goes Wrong.

Oh, I hope so! Dave Hearn would be the likeliest bet among that group, in my opinion.
Funny because I think Henry Shields or Henry Lewis could be possible nominees. They're all doing great work so I would be pleased if anyone from the cast is nominated.

I absolutely think she does—more so than Barrie in my opinion. To me, Mendez delivered the other standout performance in the show aside from Glick.
I'm very interested seeing if Christian Borle gets nominated, and if so for what show. I thought he would be nominated for Wonka since that show would still be running but judging from the reviews....
I'm gonna be honest, if Christian Borle gets nominated for Falsettos, I'll be shocked. Compared to Block, Uranowitz, and even Rannells, his performance was the least impactful. I know Briones, Groban, and Platt are locks for nominations (probably Andy Karl too), but I wonder who else would be nominated.
