I won't be there until about a week before they open (I figured I'd wait for them to iron out the kinks since I AM paying almost $145 for one ticket) but I am very excited! Here's hoping this is the kind of show Broadway's been needing for years. WAT and whoever's going, be sure to report back and have a great time...can't wait to hear what you guys think!
Break a leg, BILLY ELLIOT!

I'll be there tonight - I saw it in London over 2 years ago and have been eagerly awaiting this day ever since.
One of my friends saw the dress last night and was blown away, so apparently things are at least heading in the right direction over at the Imperial!

Now what would you say if today I started over?
Without a thing but this taped together four leaf clover
And I'll pretend like everything is already alright
And I'll run toward the sun till the castle's out of sight

I was pleased to see that Elton demanded that all the changes for the American production be pulled and that what will be seen in New York is very close to the original in London.

Just got off the phone with a friend who saw the dress last night. And loved it. Said its the best thing of the last two seasons on Broadway. It needs work, she said, but its nothing that can't be somewhat easily remedied.

Will someone be there wearing a customized Billy Elliot t-shirt that has a spelling error?? I seem to remember that thread a few months ago...

If all the friends of Greg Jbara who wish they were there actually WERE there, they'd be sitting two to a seat!

I honestly hated the show when I saw it, in London.
I just don't get why everyone loves it.
