They're so adorable!

I'll jump in as those who haven't seen a preview. Matter of fact, I can not find any evidence that the movie is coming to my middle of nowhere backwards town. Can't we spare some room in our spacious 8 screen theatre? I bet I'll have to travel to the next big town to see it..1 1/2 hours away.
Jim Caruso: You know, you are doing Wicked.
Stephanie J Block: I am!
Jim: Is anyone coming to that old thing?

Not only have I not seen a preview, but 2 of my friends who only know it exists because of me and still are too lame to listen to the music get to see it early. ::sigh:: Stupid Chemistry. If I didn't have an exam, I so would start my break early just to get Rent on Monday instead of Wednesday. Go, time, go!

Anthony, I hope you heard us all scream for you and I hope you know how proud we are of you.
Post soon,
Post soon,
David walked into the valley
With a stone clutched in his hand
He was only a boy
But he knew someone must take a stand
There will always be a valley
Always mountains one must scale
There will always be perilous waters
Which someone must sail

Wow. I had no idea they were going to do a Rent miniseries. That idea's right up there with "let's go to Iraq." Geez.
"`I grow old... I grow old... I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.` What does that mean, Mr. Marlowe?"
"Not a bloody thing. It just sounds good."
He smiled. "That is from the `Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.` Here's another one. `In the room women come and go/Talking of Michael Angelo.' Does that suggest anything to you, sir?"
"Yeah -- it suggests to me that the guy didn't know very much about women."
"My sentiments exactly, sir. Nonetheless I admire T. S. Eliot very much."

Great review, Lari. Making me even more excited.
For those of you who want to go to screenings, if you live anywhere near Chicago, there might still be tickets for the screening tomorrow. Now what could be better than a screening, the after party with Anthony, and meeting dear ol FIZZ? (hahaha, just kidding on the last part).

And Fizz, if I lived in Chicago, I'd pay the 80 bucks just to meet you.

They've begun to work out the details for the symphony space screening. A dinner with Anthony is being auctioned off - I couldn't see any of the other cast members willing to do that.
"Patrons who have purchased $150 tickets will be treated to a special reception following the Q&A at Symphony Space's Thalia Café, which will be transformed for the evening to follow the look of Rent, resembling an eclectic East Village space. The reception, catered by Thalia Café operator Andrea Giardino, will feature food and drink based on the "La Vie Boheme" scene of the musical. "Hand-Crafted Beers made in local breweries" will be supplied by Brooklyn Brewery. Miso soup, soy burgers, pasta with meatless balls, fries, huevos rancheros, rice, beans, cheese and more will be served." - sounds quite fun

g/d!!
Another 5 signed copies of Anthony's book were given away on the RENT blog today.
Why must they insist on posting this in the middle of the afternoon! It's highly unfair to the employed RENT fans of the world.

What? I missed another chance at getting the book? grr... Well, I guess I know what my birthday present will be, huh?
Does anyone know if there are any events with the cast in California?

I can't wait to read Anthony's book, I pre-ordered it on Amazon a while ago, and I wish it was out already, it would make the Rent wait easier. I love Amazon by the way, lol. I got Adventures in Babysitting (adorable), David Searching (SOOOOOO amazing!!!!), Open House (haven't seen it yet), and Far From Home (havn't seen this yet either, but is it bad that I wouldn't mind if Anthony was my psyco-stalker? Lol, gotta love 80's Drew too).

I still haven't seen Far From Home. Netflix sucks and they don't have it, but I've got Open House in my queue! Woo!
I totally think Anthony should give away his books to the first 5 people that respond to a post he posts in here.
Gr...since it's obviously all nice and printed, why can't the release it now? :p

Great review Lari! I can't wait to see the movie, my friends and I are planning a whole RENT day to celebrate on Wednesday! And Colleen, I haven't seen a screening either! :-P
And maybe I just missed it, but where are all the pics of Anthony and Rodney? *is confused* I want to see!

Okay, so it is so tempting to read the reviews right now, if only to ease my mind.
I had a terrible dream that I saw the movie, only it was horrible because Justin Timberlake beat up Adam and stole his part as Roger but no one noticed! And then Anthony came on here and posted that he was happy it was Justin and not Adam, and that he only wished that all of Nsync could have been in the film. Soooo weird, quite possibly the scariest nightmare ever.
