no whyhelloheart your not the only one even though i dont have the CD...sad i know....I listened to a couple of the songs and thought wow interesting then a couple a days later i listened to it and thought this is soooooooo cool i didn't know what i was thinking before but i guess i had to just take it in.
hahah thank god i'm not the only one.

I'll admit, whyhelloheart, I also didn't think "Look Around" was that great when I first listened. I am shamed. I didn't like the first two tracks ("Living Alive" and "Look Around"), and so I skipped to "Human Tornado", which a lot of people had been raving about. It was *okay*, but the background singers really annoyed me.
It definitely grows on you. Now, the first two songs are still not my favorites, and the background singers still annoy me, but I love most of the songs and the cd as a whole.
Yea I dont care much for look around either
I wish my Look Around was already here... it's on its way from Amazon. I just want to know what you guys are talking about. I think it will be awesome, but I have to wait and see.

"The filmmaker cannot see (Roger)
And the songwriter cannot hear (Mark)
Yet I see Mimi everywhere (Roger)
Angel's voice is in my ear" (Mark)
i don't know if i'm right, but i took it as roger does what mark can't...and mark can do what roger can't, and it's easy for each of them to do waht the other one is having trouble with...i have no idea if that makes sense at all it's hard to explain
and also, they ended up making the song about mimi and the movie about angel so maybe it was them realizing ok this is what i have and now i have to make it into something
Firs time I heard it I thought it was flipping amazing
The filmmaker cannot see (Roger)
And the songwriter cannot hear (Mark)
Yet I see Mimi everywhere (Roger)
Angel's voice is in my ear" (Mark
What is so hard to get about this? it is pretty easy
The filmmaker cannot see-he cant see his project and what direction it should go and what he is going to exactly do with it
The songwriter cannot hear his song.
And Roger hates that HE can see Mimi everywhere but cant hear his song and Mark can hear Angel but cannot see his film.
Then at the end when they are like I see it my film I hear it my song they use the thing they COULD see or hear to find the one they lacked (Mark's movie is about angel, Roger's song about Mimi)

Thank you, caitiesus! That's what I meant, but I overcomplicated it in my head. I tend to do that a lot

Why thank you caitiesus for making that clear, my simple mind just caught on with the tune, never quite comprehending the lyrics. :)

Catharsis- Thanks for trying to get that to us, we all really appreciate it!
I like “Look Around” more and more each time I listen to it, but I never disliked it. My favorite tracks are “Living Alive” and “Visits to You”.

The beginning of that is kinda creepy...how he appears in that bubble, blinking, like he's there by firce...I have an overreactive imagination.
I never *hated* it, I just didn't like the first few tracks, so I was afraid I wasn't going to like the whole thing.

"I wish you'd met me earlier when I was outside feeding the pigeons and it was really pretty...."
Yeah, sorry 'bout the triple post. Weird.

Thanks, everyone, for the congrats, etc. (three pages later.)
About Look Around: I think it's the cheesiest crap I've ever heard. It makes me feel like I'm 15 and in luv for the first time. Don't get me wrong. I love it. It's fantastic for what it is. But it's certainly not groundbreaking, earth-shattering music. At best, I would probably toss it in the guilty pleasure category. Some of the lyrics actually makes me giggle in a "I'm-fairly-certain-that-this-is-not-supposed-to-be-funny" kind of way... It is cute, though, (if that makes sense) and definitely fun to listen to.

The reason that you know 'Out Out Damn Spot' isn't written by Anthony is that it's cynical and ironic, and Anthony's not cynical. He said so himself.
Some of the rhymes are stretching it a little bit- especially in the song "Yet Again." But it works, because he says the stupid rhymes in a way that lets you know he knows it's a bit of a stretch.
Hmmm. I miss being lucid.
Just thought I'd drop a note saying that I'm almost done with the Out 100 video, I just have to put it all together in Windows Movie Maker. I only have the parts where Anthony is on the TV (with a couple extra parts), though, since the memory card of my camera would freak out if I tried to do the whole episode.
I hope you guys are having a wonderful first full night of 2006.
hey if it's windows movie maker will i be able to watch it on an apple?
Don't worry, it'll be (I believe) in mpg format, so as long as you're equipped to play that, then you should be okay. It's saving right now, but my computer says it's going to take manymanymany minutes (keeps switching between 32 and 46) to save (my computer is one slow bastard).
EDIT: eek. It's actually in WMV format, which is Windows Media. Now, if you have the Mac version of Windows Media, then you shouldn't, in theory, have a problem. This is why I don't use a Mac.

Thanks for working on the video for Out 100. I had set my Tivo to tape it, but for whatever reason they played a different show even though the description still said it was supposed to be "Out 100"... grrr...
