It definitely grows on you. Now, the first two songs are still not my favorites, and the background singers still annoy me, but I love most of the songs and the cd as a whole.

And the songwriter cannot hear (Mark)
Yet I see Mimi everywhere (Roger)
Angel's voice is in my ear" (Mark)
i don't know if i'm right, but i took it as roger does what mark can't...and mark can do what roger can't, and it's easy for each of them to do waht the other one is having trouble with...i have no idea if that makes sense at all it's hard to explain
and also, they ended up making the song about mimi and the movie about angel so maybe it was them realizing ok this is what i have and now i have to make it into something

The filmmaker cannot see (Roger)
And the songwriter cannot hear (Mark)
Yet I see Mimi everywhere (Roger)
Angel's voice is in my ear" (Mark
What is so hard to get about this? it is pretty easy
The filmmaker cannot see-he cant see his project and what direction it should go and what he is going to exactly do with it
The songwriter cannot hear his song.
And Roger hates that HE can see Mimi everywhere but cant hear his song and Mark can hear Angel but cannot see his film.
Then at the end when they are like I see it my film I hear it my song they use the thing they COULD see or hear to find the one they lacked (Mark's movie is about angel, Roger's song about Mimi)

I like “Look Around” more and more each time I listen to it, but I never disliked it. My favorite tracks are “Living Alive” and “Visits to You”.

I never *hated* it, I just didn't like the first few tracks, so I was afraid I wasn't going to like the whole thing.

Yeah, sorry 'bout the triple post. Weird.

About Look Around: I think it's the cheesiest crap I've ever heard. It makes me feel like I'm 15 and in luv for the first time. Don't get me wrong. I love it. It's fantastic for what it is. But it's certainly not groundbreaking, earth-shattering music. At best, I would probably toss it in the guilty pleasure category. Some of the lyrics actually makes me giggle in a "I'm-fairly-certain-that-this-is-not-supposed-to-be-funny" kind of way... It is cute, though, (if that makes sense) and definitely fun to listen to.

Some of the rhymes are stretching it a little bit- especially in the song "Yet Again." But it works, because he says the stupid rhymes in a way that lets you know he knows it's a bit of a stretch.
Hmmm. I miss being lucid.

EDIT: eek. It's actually in WMV format, which is Windows Media. Now, if you have the Mac version of Windows Media, then you shouldn't, in theory, have a problem. This is why I don't use a Mac.
