haha someone said in the heights? i don't think so, it box office is already significantly rising every week i think passing strange is going pretty soon, but xanadu will going for a while only because it's at the Helen Hayes which has never had anyhing as financially successful as xanadu and they won't take their chances on a new show if u ask me.

so far all we know that crybaby is gone today, curtains is next week i believe, a catered affair july 27th, a chorus line august(forgot date sorry), and rent september 7th.

i do believe passing strange will announce theirs next its not selling and i agree their tony performance didnt sell anything to me at all.

just wondering what next long running show will close next?

well i agree it's not making any money but what show at the Helen Hayes has had the chance to make any money, or at least more than what Xanadu could?

Makes no difference, the fact that it's not as terrible at the box office as previous tenants doesn't make it any better.

It's doing fine and it has good word-of-mouth. I'd think the next show to close would be Passing Strange, but then again, I'm not sure how expensive that show is to run either.

A Chorus Line

will be gone.

After Cheyenne flashed his thighs on the Tonys, they better well get a superstar if/when Jackson leaves. Do any of the current hearthrobs meet the requirements (can sing, is a great comedian, is gorgeous and has enormous charisma ON STAGE)?

i acctually found out that a guy named James Carpinello was originally casted for Jackson's part and Chyenne replaced him in previews but i don't think they will or would put him back in the show (and Jane Krakoski was their first choice for Kira)

does anyone know if closing dates were set for these?

in the heights
lion king
mary poppins
boeing boeing
wicked
spring awakening

I know probably not, but i found on ebay someone selling these playbills. she posted closing dates for these shows, saying the info was from broadway.com.

James Carpinello was casted....isn't that usually done when you break your ankle?:)

English major...couldn't resist.
