What Will Happen To EVITA Once Ricky Leaves?

I don't see EVITA closing any time soon, therefore, I can't help but wonder how long it will last after Ricky Martin leaves the show considering he is what is bringing in most of the profit.

THe show will close like most star driven rivals unless they can gt JLO, Sofia Vergara, or even PATTI to play EVITA, or Marc Anthony OR Enrice Eglesies to play CHE

Raul Esparza would actually be a brilliant choice.

I wonder if Antonio would be available... Who cares about age LOL ... Bascially the role of Che is now the role he played perfectly in the movie.

I see Evita still being strong without Ricky. Certainly not the grosses it's at now, but definitely sustainable.

I like the idea of Marc Anthony. Someone on the Evita Facebook page made a comment that Mario Lopez could take over the role in January 2013 - hope it remains his personal fantasy. Raul Esparza would be amazing! He could bring the bite back to Che.

I can't imagine Antonio agreeing to step in as a replacement. Enrique Iglesias would be a great choice. Otherwise, they better have a massive plan B for replacing Elena once people catch on that Ricky's no longer in the show a couple of weeks after he leaves.

I saw Raul Esparza as Che with the original Hal Prince staging and I'll never forget both his performance and that production! Esparza is much older now but he'd still make a fabulous Che, especially if he performs the role as he did back in 1999.
