Oh I really want to go see her in JCS! Let us know how it goes! And she was supposed to be on As the World Turns on Monday but apparently she was on Friday? Anyway, you can watch just to make sure she's not on again :-P
I also am a fan of Colleen Sexton. And yes it would be great to see her as Elphaba, but don't you think now that Brooklyn is closed, Eden Espinosa might join the cast once again? just a thought.

JCS is going great so far! The show starts in about a weekish. But the rehearsal process is really exciting. We have a lot of great people in it.
I thought Coleen was good in J&H - but Linda was better.

yes, I'm in the teen chorus. (kind of like an extra ensemble but with all highschool students). Other cast members in the show are. Doug Barton from the national tour of Crazy for you (Jesus) and Gilles from Rent (Judas). It's really exciting. I've learned so much from them already. They are awesome.

I was in Jesus Christ Superstar at Lyric with Coleen. She was absolutely amazing. I haven't talked to her in a month or two so I don't know what she is doing currently. I do agree that she is awesome and she is soo incredible nice. I'll post anything if I talk to her soon.

i just spoke to coleen a few days ago and she is doing very well and very happy! she heads out to the middle east shortly with the chicago tour. she is happy to be dancing again. of course i think she should be roxie...but maybe sometime she will get to do that.
yes, broadway needs her back. i ALWAYS write coleen sexton when anyone asks "who should the next elphaba be". she is amazing! i believe that she would be thrilled to be in Wicked and not many actors see that as "sinking that low". its a starring role in a hit broadway show. i do, however, feel that coleen should originate something..she is too good to replace..but most actors will go where the work is. not TOOO many are SUPER picky!
her voice is anything but nasal...but everyone has their preferences. personally, i love her voice and her acting and HER.
Social..your comment was so not classy...just sayin'.
She has a myspace?
I couldn't find her.

How did Andrea get the part?
I imagine talent.

I actually LIKE Nellie McKay...

some people loved coleen and hated me and some people loved me and hated coleen. how anyone can even compare us is beyond me. i would feel safe in saying MOST people appreciated both of our performances.
my approach to this is...if there was someone BETTER for the role at the time i auditioned..they would have been cast. i had some PRETTY STIFF competition in getting that role. you'd be surprised to hear the names. i auditioned with amazingly talented people. so i am quite proud of getting it!
just a sidenote..according to my doctors, i should have been in a coma at the time of the taping of that show...i was extremely ILL and the fact that i got through those last weeks of JH was a MIRACLE...it was extremely difficult and emotional. we should think before we post nasty things about people because MAYBE, just maybe they are also going through some hardship but are STILL doing their show!
i see many things i would like to change on that recording. BELIEVE me, i am more critical of myself than anyone on this board could ever be towards me!! hahahah!
i am pretty sure that my day to day performances, without a camera two feet from my face and the lights turned up in the theater, were probably better. when i had less distraction.
i don't really need to defend anything.
nothing, no one.."not even you" will ever take the joy of that incredible experience away from me!!
i wish you all good things in your life Broadway86..enjoy!
edit...this post was written in a response to a post that has now been deleted...just in case people DID read it, i will leave my post here. i have taken out a line that was offensive to the poster because i am really NOT here to hurt anyone. and i am not being facetious in my well wishes. people who know me, know i MEAN what i say!
