What happened to Coleen Sexton?

Anyone know what happened to Coleen Sexton, Lucy from the DVD version of Jekyll and Hyde with David Hasslehoff? I know- a travesty but she was the one shining jewel of it. Ever since I've seen it, I've been trying to track her down but to no avail. Anyone know anything?

I never realized people ask about her so much.... truth be told, I'd never really even heard of her till she was cast in Chicago.

while you may not like Wicked, she would be more than stupid to turn down a leading role in the biggest hit on Broadway.

Coleen auditioned for Wicked a while back before Idina left but obviosuly that didn't work out ;-P

Coleen is a beautiful woman. However, I find her voice nasal and annoying. She CAN act though. I'll give her that!

i love her voice and everything about her. i think she would make an AMAZING elphaba! once shoshana moves on, of course.

I, too, never realized that there were a lot of threads created about Sexton. In any case, I'm going to use this opportunity to say that I absolutely ADORE her work. She's a phenomenal talent, and it's a real shame that she's not in anything right now.

On a side note, she's the ONLY thing that got me through that "Jekyll & Hyde" DVD...

OMG,yes she would make an amazing Elphaba and I was so disappointed that it didn't work out this time. She really deserves to be back on Broadway.

I love Sexton, but as I've stated before, she's doing fine without musical theater. And can we all try to remember that there were plenty of wonderful roles for women in theater BEFORE Wicked and there will continue to be wonderful roles after as well. It's not the beginning and the end of musical theater roles. I would much rather see Sexton originate something all her own than go in to that show and sing those hyper inflated songs. Her talent deserves a better vehicle all her own. She's also a much better actress than any of the other ladies who have played the role of the green witch.

I agree with you. She's done a lot of stuff since Jekyll and Hyde that's all been wonderful. I just want to see her back on Broadway. It's where she wants to be and where she deserves to be.

Coleen is AMAZING....and I don't say that about just anyone, believe me...but she is a phenomenal actress combined with that powerhouse voice. She was my FAVORITE Lucy! (after Linda of course...lol) Al Dente, although I agree with the idea of her creating her own role, and that she is doing fine without Broadway, that still doesn't mean she should stay away completely. It would be wonderful if she played Elphaba - not only does she have the acting chops, and would REALLY bring something to Elphaba, she also has the incredible range and power for that role, and I would pay LOTS of money to see her play that role. I LOVE Coleen! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Coleen is currently in Oklahoma doing a production of Jesus Christ Superstar as Mary Magdelene. She's absolutely amazing. And so sweet. I love her! I'm not sure what she will be doing when this production is done, however. (Later this month).
