While singing "So if you care to find me..." while cutting to high angle reverse shots of the Ozians pointing at the sky singing the "look at her she's wicked!" part, ending with a superimposition of the citizens and Elphaba (kinda like the ending of SUmmer Nights in Grease). If they did make a Wicked movie it could be intersting if done as a carbon-copy of the 1939 Wizard of Oz. In the sense that the props, costumes and set would be a mirror image of the 1939 movie, maybe even incorperating clips from the movie in order to really portray the "looking at it another way" concept. It would be cool, from my perspective, to see Wicked and Wizard of Oz tied together like this. I mean it could easily destroy the musical but still, it would be intersting.

The twister footage may not be able to be "copied" - but MGM used in in several other films in the decades after OZ.

Sunset Boulevard IF Andrew Lloyd Webber were forced to cut a lot of the "singing dialogue" eliminate lots of reprises, and add about 3 new numbers possibly including:
- An additional Solo vehicle for Joe
- A solo for Betty
Cutting the following song:
- Every Movie's a Circus
Finding the right style of orchestration would be a uniqute struggle for this film. Something gritty and alive (unlike both orchestrations London & Bway had.) A Sunset film would take MUCH reworking but could be very worthwhile if done correclty.
A Cabaret closer in style fo the original stage production than the film could be great.
I am opposed to Les Miserables being a movie musical. I just don't see it working well. As someone earlier said, I have no problem with it if it's done well, but I just don't know what "well" would look/sound/feel like.

When a director starts to work for a studio after they have had a succesful film they are given a sheet of paper of a list of possible movies that are seeking directors etc.
Wicked has been on that list for over 6 months(as well as Billy Elliot which i think is stupid since the film issnt that old).
As for Miss Saigon they have been MANY attempts at putting this on film but have all ended up been non starters due to conflict over the way it should be done(makintosh will not budge an inch on what he wants from the film)
He also said recently that he had given up all hope on a film version of Miss Saigon and he had never for a second thought about putting Les Miserables on the big screen.
Hope that info helps x

I would also like to see Ragtime, and Aida brought to the big screen, but I wouldn't want Beyonce in either one. I don't know why people make such a big deal about her. I consider her vocal talents very mediocre...especially compared to Audra McDonald, or Heather Headley.

Disney would never make Les Mis into an animated film, for many reasons, but I think the main would be that they would want their version to be the one that people think of when they thought of Les Mis, and that just wouldn't happen with musical around.

however, i am with you Matters. i would love to see this Broadway revival of Les Mis filmed like they did with Piazza last summer of PBS. it would be great for us les mis fans to have that bit of history since the tour is closed and the revival won't be running forever. plus the casting is so great (except daphne, sorry). the show is so great i don't know if they could make a movie that captures all the emotions, feelings, and grandure from the show.

I do not want a Wicked musical movie. It would look ridiculous.

A Little Shop remake would be cool! With the OBC cast: Hunter Foster, Kerry Butler, etc...
