Any Marin Mazzie fans in the audience? Her website's kind of lax in the whole news area, so I was wondering if anyone knows if she's doing anything other than some concert today in California. :)

I LOVE MARIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hence the name.....She is my all time fave!!!!!!!I don't really know of any other concerts or anything but supposedly she and Jason might be shooting some pilots for possible sitcoms...I don't know if this is true or not. There is a post on her website about it and the same one is on talkinbroadway.com under all that chat. Here's the link. Oh, and I don't know if you noticed but the layout of her webstie has changes. It looks pretty nice. Yay for Marin!

I absolutely adored her in Ragtime. She was totally robbed at the Tonys.
I 2nd that Boy From Oz. I don't think Heather was all that in "Aida".

Don't even get me STARTED on the Tony's that year. Natasha Richardson should... no. No, I'm going to refrain from making that comment. :)
I would have been satisfied if Marin had won that year. I was rooting for her over Richardson there, who proudly confessed she had no musical theatre training (yeah, that's not something you admit to while accepting an award over four accomplished musical theatre performers). Bah.
Sadly enough, I'm a fan of Richardson as a film actress... just don't feel her Cabaret performance merited a Tony, but that's just my opinion. Now had Susan Egan been the original Sally, then we could talk.
Anyhoo, love Marin... hope she's back on Broadway soon.
(Just for clarification, I was referring to the 1998 Tony's... year of Ragtime... which I believe Boy From Oz was referring to as well...)
Mrs. Lovett?
She was wonderful in Man of La Mancha. She and BSM had me crying like a baby at the end.
She would make a wonderful Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street- she's not a complete star, but it may help the box office numbers a little bit.
Like someone said, she's WAY too old to be Evita.
I think she's too young for Dorothy Brock, even with a wig and costume on. But I can't think of anything for her to do!
Someone mentioned Mrs. Lovett. That would be interesting, I think. If only just to hear her sing "By the Sea" with a faux lower-class British accent.
im sure she'll choose a great part whatever it is shes marin!
I think she rocks. And now that you mention it I would love to see her as Evita!
