Mrs. Doubtfire. I enjoyed it despite its many flaws.

Company, a week before the shut down. It was wildly entertaining and the gender reversal makes so much more sense. I hope it survives to open on Broadway.
Mrs. Doubtfire second preview 3/10 and Riverdance at Radio City 3/11.
If 5hose will be the last shows I’ll see in many months, I will be happy and accept it. I did have tickets this weekend and this week for Soldier's Play, Company, Diana, and Cambodian Rock Band.
Had my annual nyc trip the week before its closing, being able to see Six, Company, JLP, The Minutes among others. So grateful I was able to see them!

I saw SIX on March 10. Super last minute. I wanted to see if before it finished previews. I love seeing shows late in previews. Since it was to supposed to open on the day of the shutdown, I feel this was a perfect ending (pause?) for me.
I had a whole slew of things to see the following week, but on Broadway, I hate I now (as far as I know) won't be seeing THE MINUTES and WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? Was really looking forward to those this season

Unfortunately, Girl From the North Country on the last night it played. Not a fan.
However, we did see Hamilton on Tuesday night which was outstanding. Loved the current cast (Monroe was better as Jefferson).
Tixs to Woolf and Molly Brown (off bway of course) were cancelled.

Australia’s shut down (ban on gatherings of 500+ people) started today. There were shows in each of our 4 major theatres and only Harry Potter is going to survive (although Come From Away only had another week left and is going to return next year instead). I saw Billy Elliot last night on what turned out to be it’s last performance. Fortunately I also saw Shrek last weekend; although hopefully it’s Brisbane season will go ahead in May.

To Kill a Mockingbird on March 10 and Moulin Rouge March 11. Had tickets to Diana and Mrs Doubtfire for the 12 and 13!
Girl from the North Country, and The Minutes several days later.
GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY Sunday matinee and then, HANGMEN Wednesday matinee. The former is likely returning, I bet, and the latter I hope can figure out a way, because it was fantastic.
Had tickets for WEST SIDE (again) and COMPANY the following week. Still bummed about that.

I saw WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? on March 6th and it was amazing! (I'm still paranoid I came into contact with the usher that night..)
The Girl From the North Country. Wednesday, March 11th at 8 p.m.
Lucky enough to have seen the first preview of "Company!" It was stunning

Margarittaville. Don't feel sorry for me, I had season tickets with a conflict so we changed dates. Found out it was "Press opening" and Jimmy Buffet himself came out sang the title song as an encore in person.
in NYC, Bette in Hello Dolly
I went in on Wednesday (March 11th) and did a two show Wednesday - Matinee of Aladdin and the evening of Mrs. Doubtfire.
I hadn't been to Aladdin in awhile and the show is still in wonderful shape and the cast is magical and I'm glad I got to see Rodney Ingram and Arielle Jacobs before their runs ended.
Mrs. Doubtfire was such a joy and had so much heart and I can't wait to go back to it once things get back up and running. Rob McClure is truly fantastic and brings such a joy and heart to the show and leads the show beautifully.
As a Broadway Usher I worked
- closing the performance of David Byrnes America Utopia
- Friday Eve performance of Medea at BAM
- Saturday Eve performance of Moulin Rouge before
For November trip to NYC, we saw “Moulin Rouge”, “Tina!” & “The Inheritance”.
But next trip’s lineup likely in jeopardy (4/15-18) with “Take Me Out”, “Flying Over Sunset”, “Caroline or Change”, “The Lehman Trilogy”, “Company” & “Six”. 😢
Moulin Rouge! on January 30th. I’m so glad I got to see it.I live upstate, so I think that’s it for a while. I have tickets to see the tour of The Band’s Visit in Buffalo next month, but suspect it’ll be canceled, & I probably wouldn’t go anyway (suppressed immune system, very large theater.)

Won digital lotto $30 for Lion King and Aladdin March 6 and 7, went to both. Won Moulin Rogue earlier in the week but couldn’t make it. Never won so many lotto in a short time. The virus was scaring folks away. Great lotto seats too. Rows R and Q. Orchestra. Both stage left a tad, but almost ideal seats to see the action. Took my son to Aladdin and daughter to Lion King, first show for both.
