My favorite show is Little Shop of Horrors. But as far as my favorite musical score, it would have to be Into the Woods.
My favourite shows are Jekyll & HYDE, EVITA and A Tale of Two Cities. Favourite score? The Tony-Nominated (:)) "Woman in White"!
BB2, that's up there with my favorites as well-- I just got into it when I got the cast recording for Christmas, and I'm going to see it this spring.
See, I was in Ragtime and now the score is ruined for me. Every time I try to listen to it I'm reminded of the hours and hours we spent rehearsing "A Shtetl Iz Amereke" only to have the director cut it prior to opening night.
Bummer.
Avenue Q then Sweeney Todd then Company then it gets fuzzy from there
Piragua, I hope my username doesn't conjure up the same feelings
For me, it's a tie between Follies and Dreamgirls.

1. "Sunday in the Park With George"
2. "Gypsy"
3. "RENT"
4. "Evita"
Sunday in the Park With George.
Such a beautiful show!
This website combines several shows into one for me. Whenever I listen to In the Heights, there's that little line that conjures up Kiss Me, Kate, but it now also conjures up Patti LuPone in Sweeney Todd, and there's even a little residual West Side Story on the sides. That would never have happened without this place. :P
My favourite musical is Floyd Collins. I used to have a great big long list, and I didn't think it was possible to choose one single favourite from all the musicals in the world. Then I found Floyd Collins and it was the musical theatre equivalent of finding my soul-mate. I still have a great big long list of musicals I adore, but Floyd Collins always come out tops. :3
My the most favorite musical is My Fair Lady, and West Side Story is close second.
BWW posters can be pretty snippy.
Please understand it isn't intended to be snippy, but if we are true Broadway fans - and if you aren't why are you even here? - It should not be too difficult to use the correct terms.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

My favorite show is "Gypsy". I love it because it's about the theater or rather vaudeville. Anyway, when I was in high school my mother and I went to see it. My mom and I had a terrible relationship normally but that evening was really nice. It was the first musical either one of us had been to.
My first favorite is Spring Awakening, but some runner-ups are:
2. Cabaret
3. Side Show
4. Sweeney Todd
5. Grey Gardens

CATSNYrevival, Kiss Me, Kate is my favorite show, too.
And I was in Ragtime, too, but no numbers were cut and I love the show more than ever.
Company and Sunday in the Park with George
Without a doubt SWEENEY TODD!
Specifically with George Hearn and Angela Landsbury as the murderous duo...
