Could this be the future house for Carousel? If not, maybe the Dreamgirls transfer???

No it's not. These actual discussions are already happening.
According to Sheryl Lee Ralph, Dreamgirls is taking the Neil Simon. I could definitely see Carousel taking the Imperial.
^i assumed mean girls was taking the Neil simon.

No one made you click on the thread. I assume you knew what the topic was about based on the title?
My point still stands. You people correct everything I say, no matter what the thread. I expressed frustration about the lack of news (before the announcement) in the other thread, and was scolded for that. What do you guys have against me?

As salty and upset as I am over GC closing, I could see Carousel going to the Imperial after some heavy renovations.

It's never to soon to look at new possibilities. I'm sure Great Comet was a lovely show, but I'm excited to hear what's next! If anybody wants to express their love of a show or how upset they are that a show's closing, go to the closing announcement page. This thread is for the promise of the future, and I think it's a very nice type of thread.

Are the producers of Great Comet responsible for returning the Imperial to its "original" state? If another show with immersive qualities (I'm thinking Here Lies Love or Hadestown) wants the theatre with its restructured house, would the producers of the new show then be responsible for the inevitable return to the true proscenium after it closes? Could another production even be allowed to benefit from the restructure, or would that be a violation of the designers' copyright?

The Imperial must and will be restored to its pre-Comet state. Even if the next show coming in wanted an "immersive" setup, they'd have to do it themselves. Anything that is loaded in to a Broadway theater by stagehands must be loaded out when the show closes.

Other people have posted "too soon" on threads like this, and no one calls them out. I do it, and I get attacked. I repeat, what do you people have against me?

I don't think anybody here has something against you. We're just pointing out that if you don't like this type of discussion you can ignore it and move on with your day. No one is making this personal, so don't take it personally.

Unless Sheryl Lee Ralph is a producer and she stated that in a press release, it really doesn't matter what she said. It's still unconfirmed.
It was too soon last week when speculation about closing was happening. Now that closing is happening, it's no longer too soon to discuss. My heart is breaking for this show, though, BroadwayRox3588, so I completely understand why it's a sore spot to bring this up.
Anyway, I truly have no idea what will come in here next, and I wonder if there's even anything currently slated, considering how recent Comet's closing was decided.
If "Dreamgirls" is taking the Neil Simon, where's the press release? CATS has already announced its closing.
