As it relates to what's being filmed this week, the intention is to use film from the shoot for the documentary. They will also be filming interviews etc backstage, on stage, around the theatre. This has been discussed by the production including LMM. But if you want to think something else, go right ahead.
@MyLife, in general I agree, but I do not think they have found an equal replacement for either Odom or Diggs at this point, and I think the loss of the former, because he is the Tony winner, undercuts the viability and interest in releasing it at some point. I am fond of Harcourt and Chappelle but I don't think either is a substitute of the highest order. (You can disagree and I will understand that.)
The documentary will include both footage from this filmed performance and footage filmed over the past 2 years in various places (the Public, the White House etc.) Leslie will be included in the documentary whether he is included in the filmed performance or not.

I'm at the show tonight! I will break down in tears if Groff is there. Well, I'll break down in tears regardless but sooner if he's there. I missed him last time. In any event I'll let you know if they're filming. I'm sitting in orch.

Agreed. I said this previously (see, e.g., #95 and #97), which is why it is odd that neon thinks it has a reason to explain anything to me. But whatever.
I was at the show tonight and did not see any camera equipment. Also Jasmine Cephas Jones and Anthony Ramos were both out so not a ful OBC. Thayne Jasperson was in for Laurens/Philip role. It looked odd having a Caucasian in the mix!! I saw the show in November and I don't know if it's just because I know it better but this was a far superior performance. They are lighting the stage on fire!! Especially Daveed. Lots of fun tonight!
Yes there was a notable difference in Daveed's performance 10 months later for me as well. He was so much more energetic the second time. It's good, it's usually vice versa.

How was he?
He was very good as Philip. Plays a child very well. I didn't really buy into his performance as Laurens though. I hate to say anything negative about someone's performance so I'll leave it at that. Does he ever stand in for K George 3? I cud see him doing that quite well.
On another note I have read that Groff is on the Today show on 28th promoting Looking so looks like he's in town next week. Makes sense then if filming is at end of month.
