I was most looking forward to Amanda Bynes, although I haven't liked much she's done in the past. I suppose I was looking forward to the role, since it's my favorite in the show. She was great, and I can't wait to see her in it again on Saturday.
I saw an advanced screening on Wednesday and the ONLY major point that got me was the singing/mouthing of the lyrics. It really stands out in some songs, including the opening song...and takes away from it. Other than that...very awesome!
I enjoyed seeing the many Broadway peeps in the movie. I felt like Curtis Holbrook(sp?) was all over the screen in the beginning lol...which I didn't mind at all!
A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it,
but all she really dreams is to make someone
else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer.
And that is so beautiful-Anonymous
he is in the movie quite a bit in the beginning yeah.
I danced next to him at the Hairspray after party- i really regret not talking to him.
Seems like a nice guy though!

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
And of course Brittany Snow and Amanda Bynes- I want to hear their singing voices; I'm very intrigued. Actually I'm interested to hear everyone I haven't heard sing before. I'm excited to see this. I may go tomorrow...er, tonight!

I'm thinking about legally changing my name to Lizzie Curry...
I am most excited to see Elijah Kelly, he sings my favorite song in the show. And according to the NY Times, he's incredible in this. Plus when I saw the show in NY and in Vegas, the guys playing seaweed were just freakin fantastic.
And I also can't wait to see Chris Walken sing and dance again. I think it's great to him shed all of his villian roles that he has become so famous for.
Ebert's review mentioned that Pia Zadora makes a cameo, but I didn't notice her. Is she one of the agents sitting in the audience along with Ricki Lake?

I am excited to see both Spencer Liff and Curtis Holbrook on the big screen.
But as for major cast members, definitely James Marsden (who I have loved since "Disturbing Behavior") and Amanda Bynes who sounded kickass to me on the soundtrack.
