"Xanadu" is not a juke box musical. It's a stage adaption of a movie musical. 90% of the music in the show was written for movie.

Posted: 7/30/08 at 7:32amThe View is on hiatus August 4th through the 29th, so this week (and her final week of performances the first week of September) should be the only time the show effects her performance schedule.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

Does anyone know if XANADU is still on TKTS with Whoopi in the show?
I'm planning on going Saturday night and was curious as to whether or not tickets would probably be on TKTS.

Saw the show Saturday night. It was EXCELLENT. Whoopi is a lot of fun, and Andre, lord, he's brilliant! The crowd went gaga for Whoopi, so the energy in the theatre was palpable. I also applaud her for taking a "supporting" part. There are "stars" way less famous than Whoopi who wouldn't accept anything but the lead. She's a scream!
The ensemble was as perfect as ever. And of course Cheyenne and Kerry are breathtaking! SOOOO glad Kerry got a Tony nod. She's not only a gorgeous singer, but also a top-notch comedian. (And such a lovely human being.)
I hope we get to see it once more with Whoopi and then a whole bunch more times after she leaves!
