Starts previews tonight. Is anyone planning to see it?

I am seeing it next week. After all they went through this past year, am looking forward to seeing it. Would love to have seen Simard do it but I think Lesli is also a good choice.

e taken off. Luckily, I knew which one to drop. Did not pay attention to word suggestions.

Jo no "e," she got the "e" cut off!

I was there tonight and Who's Holiday is exactly the Christmas show I needed that Home for the Holidays failed to give me.

The first 2/3 of the play is very funny, raunchy, dirty- you know, the good adjectives. Lesli digs into a pill-popping, boozed-up, knocked-down (and up) Cindy Lou Who with aplomb. Yes, this is Seuss on crack. Literally.

This portion of the play is all ready for a Ru parody with no rewrites required. Ginger Minj IS Cindy Lou Who. Lesli loves her gay men and she puts just enough Karen Walker into her portrayal to let us know it. I assume Lombardo is gay himself? There's definitely that sensibility.

Unfortunately the play gets bogged down a little, but the ship is righted and Lombardo/Lesli stick the ending in a big way. My heart was warmed and I actually feel in the holiday spirit, corny as it sounds, but goddamit that's what these shows are supposed to do!

There is a moment of audience participation and we struck gold when our victim, Hunter, revealed his job was with TDF. Well Lesli had a field day with this throughout the play.

It's a one-woman show. About 80 minutes. Recommended, especially if you've already suffered at the August Wilson this season!

Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco. Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!

Sounds good.  Hoping to catch it this week or next.  She’s at Therapy tonight for a promo.

Can you imagine if they did a rotating cast of Ru Queens in the part?! I'd be back every week.

Saw it this evening. It clocked in at an hour.

The show is hysterical and heartwarming. Even when it slows it is good as Ms Margherita keeps your attention with the story she is telling.

As much as I love Jennifer Simmard, this character fits Margherita like a glove. She just runs with it. The set is also pretty cool with lights around and above the audience.

It will make you laugh, a lot, and it will warm your heart. They also have a show mug and tree ornament for sale at the bar. I got the mug for 10 bucks!

Go see it!

I like really really really want Lesli to replace Jenn in Hello, Dolly. Both because she would be superb as Ernastina, but also so she can star alongside Bernadette.

Well, she "replaced" Simmard in this so go see her.

Also saw this and really enjoyed it--a bit slow a few times, but clever and Lesli really sells it.

From the reviews I read it sounds like Lesli is the reason to see the show. Pretty strong praise for her all around with the actual play itself being dismissed. Sounds like she elevates the material. Plus it’s pretty pricey for an hour.

I actually thought it was cleverly written. It takes someone like her to pull it off though. I found that pauses and inflections were key to a lot of it and she pulled them off. Also improving a bit. I like how she tends to refer back to her chosen person from the audience.

I absolutely LOVED this, one of the funniest plays out there at the moment. LM was hysterical from beginning to end and I would definitely go back to see it again. The show was about 55 mins when I saw it so not sure if any bits were cut or if she just got through the show quickly.

Had to wait for my mom while she watched Hello, Dolly! and decided to see this. This was so corny, the story was so weird, but Lesli M. definitely made it work. It was an entertaining hour.

I saw this today and really enjoyed it. LM is great, and I have to give the playwright props for the Dr. Seuss rhyming. It's not easy to do well. I found it very imaginative and touching.

I really want to see this... but am really not into audience participation. Where should I sit (or not sit) to have a good view but avoid potentially being involved?

It's not a massive theater so even if you are in the back your view will be good, there is very little audience participation she basically picks one male front the front row (I assume it's always a male) and does a bit with him then keeps referring back to him throughout the show. She talked to a woman in the front row for maybe a minute but there isn't any major audience participation past the first three rows. She isn't just walking around the theater roasting people if you are nervous about that. If you are in the back you will be more than fine since she makes one joke about how if those people wanted her to interact with them they should have bought pricier seats (side note but all the seats for that show are pricey, especially for the run time, so I rolled my eyes).  Enjoy! It is a riot.

Just a heads up for anyone interested in seeing it: there's a BroadwayBox discount for $49 orchestra tickets (if purchased before 12/17)

Enjoy!

The evening I saw it she didn't just pick someone, she asked for a volunteers. I am not big on audience participation but there is a point where you can of you want. I did. And honestly, I would have gladly volunteered to go onstage. It was that much fun!

Ah thank you for this post! Forgot to check broadwaybox and almost caved for a full price ticket (which is crazy considering it's only an hour show!)

I saw the show tonight and laughed most of the hour. As someone who loves the grinch, this was a funny take on Cindys post life. Lesli was wonderful and the writing was very enjoyable. Definitely recommend for a fun night out!
