Which Broadway stars do you wish had more fame. I think Alison Luff, Aaron Tveit, Carmen Cusack, Emmy Raver and Christine Ebersole should all have more fame than what they have now.

I'm just asking if you think anybody deserves more fame than what they have currently. Not really a specific level. But I guess you can calculate it by Instagram or Twitter follower.

You're asking people to assess someone's current level of fame and then determine whether it is the same, more than or less than what it should be. If you want to have a meaningful exercise, you've got to objectively find a way to measure it. Not sure social media followers means anything especially with so many puppet accounts out there and the ability to buy thousands of followers for a relatively low cost. It's also highly dependent on how much they post and what types of things they post. Seth Meyers has 4.28 million twitter followers. Conan O'Brien has 22 million, yet on an average night Seth Meyers' show has 3 times the audience that Conan does. Is Conan 5 times as famous as Seth? Does it even mean anything? Will people saying yup or nope to your question mean anything or help you change their level of fame?
I'm not trying to be unkind but rather trying to encourage you to think through what you hope to get when you ask a question and how you would use the information people give you.

doubt Christine Ebersole is bothered since she has her Tony Award sitting prettily in her trophy cabinet.
Critical acclaim> fame

I would hope most actors aren't after fame, but want to be respected WORKING actors. Pretty sure they are thrilled just to have a career.

Some people are only famous within their city.

She has two of them, actually.
But the answer to the question is: me. I definitely deserve to be more famous. And rich. I should be obscenely rich.

The answer is Nathan Lane. The answer is always Nathan Lane. He deserves all the fame. All the fame that others have needs to be slowly sucked into the Lane Lane, until we reach that perfect singularity where all actors are replaced with clones of Nathan Lane, and Nathan Lane is the only celebrity remaining. There will then be no more war, no more grief, no more pain. All will be Lane. And it will be beautiful.

Gee, Angela Lansbury has ZERO Twitter followers. Guess she's a big fat nobody by your standards?

Ebersole is almost always working, in film, on stage, etc. I'd bet she's more concerned with that than being 'famous' by usual standard.

Christine Ebersole was in Richie Rich, and therefore immortal.

I think that there is a difference between fame and talent. Kim Kardashian is famous, but not talented. So yeah I agree there are some very talented Broadway actors that could be more famous. Fame meaning that they are house hold names, that they are known beyond the Broadway fan community.

Broadway will never rival Hollywood in the fame department. Accept this and move on.
