Who will be the replacement for Ben Platt's replacement. Think I'll start a thread. Gotta hit that daily quota somehow.

This actually a pretty good suggestion, but isn't he primarily a dancer. So I'm wondering if he's vocally capable.
Been giving this thread deep thought all day. My new answer is: the ghost of Ethel Merman.

I saw Ben cook last night at 54 below and was very impressed! He would be a great choice!
I really think the role of Evan Hansen needs to be cast as someone who is truly, through and through, an outsider. I think it's a great opportunity for the show to cast a complete unknown in a "star role." I don't agree at all with the idea of Ben Cook...twinky Newsie is not remotely near the character type of Evan. I do hope they think outside the box when casting Ben's replacement.

Don't forget that Ben Cook was also a Billy in Billy Elliot well before his Newsies / Tuck stint.
To the people hating on this thread, what's your deal. Honestly.
thanks for the people lending real suggestions.

it's because your constant threads are a little exhausting and tiresome and not always necessary.
he will be in the show until at least 11 months from now and even after that he will most likely renew his contract after presumably winning the Tony. this thread is approximately 1-2 years early.
If someone doesn't want to read or respond to my threads they don't need to. I think the questions and links I provide are interesting enough to warrant a thread.
yes Ben will be in the show for a long time, but I think it's still interesting to see who people might have in mind on replacing an actor giving an almost once in a lifetime performance.

It's your constant need to start new threads that are unnecessary that annoys people. Also, the fact that you're starting a thread prematurely is what sets people off.

I'm by no means the only member who posts more than one thread in a week. What makes me so different?
There are premature threads for a lot of things on here. This thread isn't meant to dreamcast, it was meant to spark discussion on whether there are good enough actors who could replace Ben. If that was not clear, I'm sorry.

Colton Ryan and Michael Lee Brown both cover Evan, but I feel like Colton Ryan maybe the first cover.

Wording is important, if that was indeed your intent. "Could" works better than "will."
I'm confused. Did I not use "could?"
Jorge is just a kid. If initiating an excessive number of threads - prematurely or otherwise - is the most heinous misconduct he's ever accused of in life, he'll be most fortunate.

Here's the best part. Instead of acting intelligent, and not clicking on the thread, they decide to show how stupid they are by making vain attempts to try to be witty and prove that they can be the snarkiness.
They all need to grow up, stop passing judgment on what is or is not a good post, and stop showing their ignorance by posting snarky, witless comments instead of something smart that is germane to the topic.
It's called respecting people. Clearly many of your parents didn't teach you the importance of that nor what good manners are.
Keep posting whenever and whatever you want, Jorge. Eventually even these geniuses will realize all they have to do is not click on them or block you.
I know it seems so simple. You just have to realize how challenged people who waste their time posting snarky comments are.
"AMEN! Lots of judgemental intolerant people on this board
I don't think this will get a warm reception, but I think Mitchell Hope would be a great replacement.
