I'm pretty annoyed she has daddy Ryan Murphy to provide her with ample job opportunities, though Ryan Murphy strikes me as the kind of person who would turn on someone on a dime Arthur Laurents style.
Remember that interview in which Lea said she was going to follow in the footsteps of Anne Hathaway and Amy Adams? And, do we all think she has a voodoo doll of Anna Kendrick, whom I'm sure she has convinced herself stole her career?

I don't think Michele is a unique talent. She is a competent actress and has a fine voice. But she doesn't have star quality, or a public persona that draws people in. In Hollywood, she is easily outclassed by people like Anna Kendrick and Emma Stone. On stage, she is outclassed by people like Jessie Mueller. And those are women who people seem to love working with.

I'm sure she will continue to have a television career. But I will hardly be surprised if her career highpoint is already behind her.

I just hope she recalibrates her public persona because she is really so talented and it would be a shame if she doesn't get to share it in quality projects because of her attitude, or perception of it.

jessie mueller sounds like a LOT better choice for gypsy but hollywood has shown they will trade percieved draw power for the right fit most of the time

I liked Glee the first year and appreciate that it has probably gotten a lot more people to get out and sing. It also brought into the current public eye a lot of great showtumes

lea was great in spring awakening, I like her versions of some songs...

I bet she has her eye on originating the role of Elsa in 'Frozen' on Broadway. Though I could list better actresses for that role.

A Ryan Murphy-produced revival of 'Funny Girl' starring Lea Michele sounds like a real-life American Horror Story. Her shrieking performance at the TONYs was horrible.

^I saw the original error. That was quite facepalm moment for Playbill, but they fixed it quick.

I don't think she's God gift to Broadway by any means , but sure, a show might take a chance on her on the hope her Glee fame would bring in some box office. It's not like she has no experience. Considering some stunt casting in the past. Of course a show would have stand on it's own, but I doubt she's blackballed from Broadway *yet*. It could happen though if her legendary diva bitch persona is intact.
