If bad things come in threes (as shown with the September slot of closings and now these) I think that Feb/March/April could get ugly.... we already know that Kinky Boots is out in April and I can't imagine Waitress and Anastasia lasting past that, right?

The Caissie thing is semi-true: she was in talks for the role of Jenna and then heard back from Frozen after the director was changed. Would still love to see her in Waitress, though.

As much as I hate to say this, because I do love the show, as soon as OG Anastasia cast members announce they're leaving, the show won't last much longer past that (Christy, John Bolton, some of the ensemble who have been with it since Hartford...if any).

Your quote above says "by January" not "in January".  Big difference there, kid.

It's a close race between Waitress, Anastasia, and Beautiful for sure. That seems to the the majority agreement. However, I think they all have the potential to have one last stunt casting in them to survive a bit longer. Maybe. Actually Waitress might be the first one to depart as I think about it because if they can't pull in a name for after Sara's next run she IS there last stunt casting and it's done for before the end of winter. Anastasia I would not be shocked to see close with the departure of Christy which I think is rumored for end of winter, early spring. BUT I can also see them having a limited run stunt casting for the summer to make it last till labor day 2019. It seems like a prime role for some Disney channel or Nickelodeon star with time on their hands for the summer and then see it close after one last tourist summer. What has Victoria Justice or Miranda Cosgrove been up to lately? Beautiful I don't think can really pull the name card unless Melissa Benoist wants to come back again on her Supergirl filming hiatus for a second time. And she very well might do that and then we could see the show close with her departure.

I don't have any interest in Waitress but it seems like they change leads more often than other shows. Not that that's a bad thing but seems unusual. But maybe that formula works for them at keeping things exciting.

As for Beautiful, Chilina seems to have a following so hopefully that will help them through the Winter. But she doesn't seem to do 1 year contracts so maybe Melissa will come back once she is on hiatus. I also think Beautiful may get some of the residual traffic from Summer.

I do think Anastasia will be around at least early Summer. I still don't agree with the Zach/Cody thing as I think the Dmitry role should have been the stable one--I think they should have waited to see what Christy was going to do or stunt cast the Dowager Empress with someone like a Liz Callaway. 

I know King Kong and Cher Show are doing ok now but I don't foresee either going for more than a year or two so I wouldn't be surprised if either were in trouble later this year.

I also wonder how much longer mainstays like Jersey Boys will last. I know they've moved off Broadway but I constantly see special ticket offers pop up. I took advantage of one of the offers and am seeing it this week--I haven't seen the show in well over 10 years.

I think The Prom will close before either Anastasia or Waitress.

"Stunt cast with someone like Liz Callaway" is the funniest thing I've read in the new year. One of the best voices, but in no way would that ever be considered stunt casting.
