If I had a good director, great script, and a group of good actors - in a heartbeat. I'd feel so safe with them that nothing else would cross my mind.
I agree as an actor it does seem like the most liberating thing one can do. I'm not apposed to it at all. It would just have to be the right situation and the right show. Screw artistic integrity. It would just have to feel right to me which basically means it would have to be completely obscene and inappropriate.

I would definitely if it was appropriate. In the current London production of Cabaret - it has really split people, but I absolutely LOVE it - there is the most intelligent and beautiful of use of nudity which really enhances the show.
Yes, of course.
If it were a long run, I'd be terrified that at some point there'd be a really good looking girl in the front row. And awkwardness would ensue.

Honestly, now that I've thought about it, I'd do it under 2 conditions. I was getting paid, and I agreed that the nudity was neccessay to the plot.
Otherwise, my fat ass is staying clothed.
Yes depending on the role/show/director.
I did it, but it wasn't FULL frontal. It was just a portion, LOL. For those of you who get that, then you know what I mean
I thought it was fun and I enjoyed it. In context it was bold AND funny, and that was why i liked it.

Haha, of ALL the people to respond to the thread
It was certainly a shocker, much like the rest of the show was for me!

No. I don't care if I was the prettiest person in the world. You can pay me tons and my answer will be the same-- absolutely not.

How much are you gonna pay me?
I've done it. No big whoop to me. The only thing that would give me pause would be if my parents were in the audience.
Considering your parents bathed and changed you for years, I would imagine it's nothing they haven't seen before.
I'm not an actor, but no.
Please provide me with: the context of why full frontal nudity is necessary, what it adds to the plot, how are we lighting the scene, who am I working with, and please give me a 14 days to crash diet and eliminate white flour and poor snacking habits. Oh and it's a definite no-no if it's going to be on film.
PS: Please keep the people I know out of the theater.
Considering I didn't have breasts or pubic hair when my parents bathed and changed me, I'm pretty sure there's plenty they've not seen before. :P
I'd also like to add "if it's essential to the script" to my earlier comment. I wouldn't just whip it all off for money and because everyone else was, there'd need to be a valid point too. XD

Thank you for that Weez.
I don't think I would do it.
I'd do it for anything that was required. As, an actor your body is your tool. Why should you be ashamed of it? So, yea I would do Naked Boys Singing or a naked version of The Sound of Music.
yikes. as if Julie Andrews hasn't flashed her breasts enough already...

Are you asking about full-frontal onstage or just when meeting a new friend for brunch?
Depends on what kind of friend, Maybe my best friend or a something else friend.

If it was toomeytwopiece's role or something like it, why then YES.
Kudos to toomeytwopiece, too, for getting such a role that was appropriate and funny to do it somewhat-full-frontal.
well that all depends on how cold the theater is. some theaters can be very, very cold.
Now in addition to dance captain and fight captain, there will be fluffer.
"well that all depends on how cold the theater is. some theaters can be very, very cold."
The atmosphere or the temperature.
As much as I'd like to think I'm a mature, creative artist (ha!), I have to be honest & say that I'd probably turn down doing full-frontal nudity. It would really affect my ability to concentrate on my lines, character, etc. I'd probably be willing to strip down to my boxers, but that's the most I'd go to.
