Seems Krakow crapped out.
A Wontorek blind-item:
"No, she’s not corroded or overloaded, but my sources say that Dinah the Dining Car doesn’t look likely to roll back to Broadway this spring after all. Apparently, she’s happy as ever being queen of the rock. We love her a bushel and a peck and hope she comes home to the theater soon."

That's the easiest blind item I've ever read.
I'd say 13 should go into the Helen Hayes, but I heard from the crew that it would need to be in a huge theater to justify the production costs.

Posted: 1/31/07 at 10:39pmWasn't Cheyenne attached to the Xanadu project, and that upset people because they wanted him to be Eric in Little Mermaid? Well there ya go. (Could be off base, trying to remember and don't feel like searching).

Posted: 1/31/07 at 11:14pm[title of show] can take the Helen Hayes! But not until after the Tony cutoff. This season is busy enough.

mmm. yes. please. & amen.
And I'm very glad that the Xanadu musical isn't happening.

Posted: 1/31/07 at 11:22pmAs great as it would be if [tos] took the Hayes, it'll never happen. The show couldn't sell out the Vineyard, so it's chances on Broadway aren't great.

Posted: 1/31/07 at 11:26pmDo you know how inexpensive it is to keep that show running? 4 actors, 2 understudies, 4 chairs and a piano. They could get that woman who was on EMPTY NEST!

Posted: 1/31/07 at 11:30pmI haven't heard a word - but I wonder if The Opposite of Sex would work at the Helen Hayes

Foster - hilarious. Is [title of show] still running?
Craig - Yeah it's weird because I remember seeing all those previews for Opposite of Sex and then it kind of disappeared.

Posted: 1/31/07 at 11:36pmTitle of Show, as cute as it is, would never succeed on Broadway. It didn't sell off-Broadway for very long, and could not sell on Broadway- even at the Hayes.

Posted: 2/1/07 at 12:45amI'd love to see [tos] move - but a little bird told me one of them is going to be busy with a new show coming in the fall.

Posted: 2/1/07 at 9:11amThat would be Dinah Manoff... a Tony winner... Lee Grant's daughter... and Marty in the movie Grease.

Posted: 2/1/07 at 9:25amWhaddaya think about Altar Boyz transferring? It wouldn't work in a big Broadway house, but in a small theater like this? Can't tell you how many folks I've told about this show on the TKTS line; most tourists have never heard of it.

Radio Golf is set for the Cort, to open sometime in March, I believe.
Altar Boyz won't transfer. It's not making any $$ off-Broadway.
