I know about the thread, and I appreciate the effort -- but, I've been spearheading the review threads on here for a while now.
Thank you.

Posted: 9/28/14 at 7:31pmI hope this gets raves across the Board. It's an excellent revival of an excellent piece of theatre, though I am slightly concerned that it may get the mysteriously tepid reception that the wonderful revival of DON'T DRESS FOR DINNER got a few years ago.

This one is 99% positive, the only non-rave comment was for JRB's interstitial music.

Posted: 9/28/14 at 8:53pmI would agree that JRB's incidental music is as bland as his regular music.

Posted: 9/28/14 at 10:15pmI haven't read one intelligent review yet. Yes it's an old play. So is Hamlet. Why can't these people get past that. It's a stunning production of one of the best plays ever written. These reviewers sound like morons.

Some quotes from Joe Dziemianowicz, Daily News:
"enduring, endearing and endlessly witty comedy"
"this play tickles the funny bone and touches the heart."
"Kristine Nielsen brings sparkly mischief and off-kilter charm"
"the adorable and hilarious Annaleigh Ashford all but dances away with the show"
"Rose Byrne...is smashing in her Broadway debut."

Posted: 9/28/14 at 11:02pmI'm don't think the Times picked it as a Critic's Choice though. I find that odd after the rave review.

"why do people feel the need to put reviews up more than once"
So people here can get a general consensus of what prominent reviewers are saying.

So how many Tonys could this be up for in the spring?
Revival of a Play?
Leading Actor (James Earl Jones)?
Featured Actress (Annaleigh Ashford)?
Direction of a Play (Scott Ellis)?
Lighting Design (Donald Holder)?
Scenic Design (David Rockwell)?
Costume Design (Jane Greenwood)?

Hey, Mortiz..... it's not about you. Grow up and stop trying so hard.
Do you want a pat in the back for posting a link first? REALLY?
Punctuation is a wonderful thing, btw.

Posted: 9/29/14 at 7:09amCurtainsUp, I don't think they register whether a show is a critics pick until the next day usually, for whatever reason. Maybe it'll be up there today!
