I love this topic! Somebody better write a new musical comedy for my favorite Broadway actress/singer soon. I might settle if she is cast as Mazeppa at City Center Encores!'s Gypsy with Patti.
Also, she was Shapiro until she married Beau Gravitte. She was Debbie Shapiro when she won the Tony for Jerome Robbin's Broadway.
