I know I might get a few sneers for bumping this up and this next comment but does anyone thing Sutton would return to Inga or Robert to Doc in the tour.
Why in the world would Sutton Foster come back to a show where she didn't get a Tony nomination, gave a lack-luster performance (and I love her!) when she's in a semi-successful show, written to showcase her talents, and for which she got a Tony nom? Much less, why would Tony Award winner Sutton Foster go on tour?

The tour will most likely be a cast of non-equity unknowns. It makes the most financial sense for Mel.
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
it'd be great if jlt did the tour, but with her son and another one possibly on the way i don't think she would..i don't know, i'm still hoping roger might do it..
I think it will be along the lines of the Legally Blonde tour cast wise. A few people from the Broadway cast that were understudies but then for the most part unknowns with not much experience. It will have a bunch of fresh new people which can be good!

Thompson decided, after completing her run in WICKED, to take an extended break from performing to raise her young son Tommy.
While she's done little limited things here and there in the years since (and has turned down several bigger opportunities in the process,) she's stood firm in that decision.
Her son's five now, so hopefully the day she's ready to return to theater full-time is soon. She's certainly sorely missed.
