Poor Charlotte. I saw and loved her as Roxie but, you know, she deserves bigger and better than revisiting this show for the billionth time.
then again in these economic times.... nice that shes got work.

I am a new convert to CHICAGO so I havent yet experienced Charlotte D'amboise as Roxie. I am lookin forward to it!
I never saw her as Roxie and I am looking forward to it.
Good for her!

Yay! I hope I can see this while she's in it (I want her to sign my "Carrie" program...yeah, I bought one on eBay. I'm a nerd).
Im happy she is coming back to Broadway, where she belongs. A true star.
I saw Charlotte in A Chorus Line, and my drama teacher saw her in Chicago
The woman could say "Hi" walk off the stage, and have total silence for 2 1/2 hours, and I would pay $88.50
To quote Jerry Herman: "It's so nice to have you back where you belong"
Hearts! I might get there in time to see her!!!
fashionguru, my thoughts exactly. Love love love her.
I wonder if she'll do 8 performances a week?
Wow, what a fresh, different, exciting bit of casting.

The poor kid.
Charlotte will and ALWAYS HAS performed all 8 shows a week while in CHICAGO. Roxie isn't the type of role that would call for an alternate.
the role of Roxie isn't as physically demanding as the role of Cassie.
She is such a great Roxie, I think I might plan a return trip to Chicago...and SweeneyPha you are not a nerd I got my Carrie program signed by her last time I saw her in Chicago...and then got it signed by Darlene Love when she was in Hairspray:)

If only a new Velma would be cast. I saw Brenda two weeks ago and hated her performance.
And for those who don't know. Charlotte played Roxie full time while she was the Sweet Charity stand-by for Christina Applegate. There were days she played both roles.

d'Amboise has the distinction of being the first Broadway Cassie who was unable to perform the role 8 times a week
just sayin
