Okay, Emcee, you're crazy.
Actually, Rent probably won't be eligiable for best song at the Oscars, since none of the songs were written for the movie (and if they did write something new, we'd probably have heard about it, especailly with all the access we've been given to this one).
Like I've said before, I think The Proudcers movie may have a better chance at becomeing a 'big thing,' but if Rent is good and if it starts to catch on, it could HUGE. Maybe bigger than Chicago. Chances are, it'll either be one of the 10 biggest movies of the year or one of the 10 least popular movies of the year. Maybe it'd be better in between though.

more new footage. :)
There is a possibility...just a chance...that I may actually get a bit sick of SOL before November. Can we please have a new song thrown in there?!

And I say: it's fine, I like it that way. Keeps me entertained, jam_man.

musicnmath: I'm afraid of getting tired of it, too.
Anyone else think "Out Tonight" would make a great single?

Yes, jam_man. How cool would it be to hear that on the radio at work?

Well, the single's on iTunes. Y'all may get your wish.
Every time something like this happens, I can't help but think "God, it's really happening."
What You Own is playing on my iPod right now. heh.

It looks pretty, but it's SO sentimental. I thought they were trying for a 'raw' feel. I'm afraid it'll be a big pile of mushy goo and insult the sorts of people who really face these problems. (some say the original was bad enough)

I wouldn't say that so fast just yet; I feel like they want the trailer to look that way to draw people in, even if the movie is raw. I hope it is. gaaaaah. Novemberrrrrrrr.

Does anyone know how to find out if you are in a 'major city'? I'm not sure if the theaters around here will have it before the wide release date or not.

As it gets closer, there will be a list of the "select cities."

I must be dead or something, because I've never cried while watching a trailer....
They better select someplace within driving distance. We have lots of Rentheads around here.

I'm in the same boat, Nia...I don't really cry at cinema sort of things, or...much more at that matter.
Anyway, the blog says it's out in NY, LA, and Toronto on the 11th. Everywhere else on the 23rd.

The clip of Idina in the white jacket appears to be from Take Me or Leave Me. Exciting. Any guesses as to what scene Tracie is standing in the rubble is from...
