Wow! Revolution/Sony are really pushing this film. It's only August and they've already released the single of "Seasons of Love" to download on iTunes and the music video on Quick Time and this film isn't due out for another 3 1/2 months!

Am I the only one who likes they way all these videos/trailers look but not how they sound? I thought they were going for a more rock/acoustic sound -- but these vocals sound so canned.

Who else feels like a big goofball because these trailers, this video is making you cry? I am so unbelievably excited (and slightly cheesed off that I have to wait and extra two weeks because I live in Tampa) for this movie.
1. Ted Allen: Everyone has an interesting life if you ask the right questions.
2. Great buckets of Spoffnor, they're going to sing!
3. "I love shrubs that are historical." -Johnny and The Sprites
4. "We're not singing it to you, we're singing it for us." -Rosario Dawson, about La Vie Boheme
5. "The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours." -The History Boys
6. "Pass the parcel. That's sometimes all you can do. Take it, feel it and pass it on. Not for me, not for you, but for someone, somewhere, one day. Pass it on, boys. That's the game I want you to learn. Pass it on." -The History Boys

Yep. I can't. If I can't watch this until I get my laptop back, which is probably not until Friday, I'm going to be VERY unhappy.
Can somebody convert this, or something? Please?

I wrote in a vote for it on the TRL site. :) Not that I'm actually expecting it to happen, but it would be nice. I don't actually watch TRL anymore, so if anyone sees it...well tell us.

Part of me thinks that would be great; the other MTV-loathing half of me doesn't even want RENT anywhere near the crap that's usually on TRL. Call me crazy.

I do agree with you there Emcee. I can't stand the MTV crowd...as much as I was part of it a mere 8 years ago. :P
What I'm looking forward to is Oscar time.
Hey, look how well Chicago did.
If anything, they'll be nominated for best song and get to perform at the awards. At least, I hope so.

I have to walk past the teenyboppers lining up for TRL at least twice a week, and they make me want to gag.

I agree with the canned vocals sentiment. Why does it sound like they corrected Tracie's pitch, making it sound all tinny? I'm sure it was lovely the way it was before they did that.
