we need more flops like ring of fire, in my life , lennon, lestat and hot feet and good vibrations. and shows the are on lp on cd like ain't supposed to die a natural death ,donnybrook, don't bother me i can't cope ,doonesbury, your arms are too short to box with god thake a long look decca broadway and sony here is you turn cd that need to be on cd by jupiter obrev67, inner city , how to steal an election, jimmy, let it ride, maggie flynn, and the zula and the zayda.
It's prohibitively expensive to produce a CD that hardly anyone is going to buy.

Carolee Carmello said there are no plans to release LESTAT
...it is kind of obvious, but she said that
*gouges eyes out with copy of "Ain't Gonna Die a Natural Death" on LP*
why... won't... they.... release.... these.... cds...!!?!?!?
Ahhhhhh
Well, now it's deifnite. It didn't matter when Elton John said it, but now that Carolee said it, it must be true.

bryan, are you a "bubble boy"?
I mean, do you live in a hermetically sealed environment and think the sun only rises to light your ass?
You want all these crappy shows to be released on CD. Why? Just so that you can sit in your bubble and listen to them till the cows come home?
Get real. There's a world outside and reasons and factors that you never seem to comprehend.
For God's sake, get a grip on life!

I'd also like to inform you that most of the shows that you vaguely named have been long-forgotten, and there is no reason for them to be recorded...go trade with members of the site-that-must-not-be-named and get your "recordings."
I'm a fan of some flops, too, but I don't cry myself to sleep if it's not recorded...
That's what they have sheet music for!
guys. You shouldn't be so mean to Bryan. He's just... passionate.

You're assuming that bryan knows how to read music.

True, sorry Dolly, thanks for pointing that out! :)
Maybe we should give him sheet music with lyrics of flops, along with their initial tunes meshed in one! Then he'll understand.
Bryan claimed in another thread that he is a 35 year old man.
Is that possible?
Ring of Fire was recorded.
Personally, I'd support CD releases for Donnybrook! and By Jupiter...
Bryan?
We NEED those? For what? It wouldn't be to listen to them...
play mini frisbee with them?

I jump in to this thread not because i have a great interest in flops but because i think many of you were extremely rude in your replies.
There is certainly an argument for recording Broadway productions, namely that it is of historical interest. Such a recording can be useful in research, education, for documentaries about Broadway people etc... This could be sponsored by the state or a foundation. Even better would be to have a law requiring the Broadway producers to record their shows and send it in to some national archival institution. It's really not that strange. In Sweden we have a law requiring archivation of all books that are released. The costs for such a live recording should be completely insignificant compared to the budget of any Broadway production even if it were recorded in HD with several cameras. And as mentioned earlier it could be financed by the state or a foundation. These recordings would then have to be released within a year after a shows last performance. But obviously such a law doesn't exist in your own little bubbles.
And even if one can read notes which for instance Benny Andersson can't do, it should be difficult for even the best note reader to imagine the choreography of the show while reading them.

Ok i don't know the life of Bryan or your mutual history. It certaintly was not my intention to start a bigger controversy. I'm personally not sensitive for critique and i am all for free speech and debate on the internet.
Cheers

Aside from the song "Just One Night," there is no reason to produce a CD of DOONESBURY.
omg LizzieCurry that picture nearly had me falling on the floor in my cubicle
You'll have the record labels tripping over themselves to be a part of this money-losing scheme.
