Mirvish productions just announced they will be dimming the marquees of the Princess of Wales and Royal Alexandria Theaters in Toronto tonight in honor of Gavin.   

Just listened to the soundtrack and love it.  Rather hoping that Mirvish has this lined up for the upcoming off-Mirvish season in Toronto.  Since they delayed announcing it maybe they just waiting for it to get glowing reviews in London.  He certainly loves bringing in shows from London rather than Broadway!

 

Originally since we were only the second production of the show we had the full broadway production...the rising pride rock, all the bells and whistles.  If I had to place bets I would say they most likely will grab a tour set and call it a day.

Well seems Pluto in Canada doesn't get the channel needed.  This splitting the awards sucks and we never get to see the whole thing.

Who do I throw my money at.   I'm gonna be needing a ticket for every performance of the run.  Best need of the year!!!

If Doubtfire wasn't able to sustain in January I don't know how Tina and Girl from North Country can.  Lookin at this up coming week both have less than 200 seats sold for each performance.   Be interesting to see how many others follow suit with short term hiatus.

The Jesus Christ Superstar tour in Toronto has just cancelled it's remaining two weeks of shows here due to Covid.  Our Come From Away sit down is currently on hold till next week.

With the sudden cancellation of Leapoldstat in Mirvishes Toronto season for Jan Feb and He being a producer on Jagged I wouldn't be surprised if they move the bway production up here to fill the spot.  I don't see another touring show that is available for two months starting that soon.  

In other news ..... Anybody heard of the musical Diana and Sons now playing in The Netherlands. Diana en Zonen. 

Came upon it accidentally.  Don't understand a word but kinda looks interesting. Loving the sets and the song it's catching me.  Anyone up for a trip to Amsterdam...

I thought Jesse's review was rather tame just truthful.  No snark, no sarcasm, which almost made it more harsh.  Everything he said is true.  It's kind of like when you're parents wouldn't yell but just gave you that look and said I'm so dissapointed.    No please tell at me scream at me, anything.

I think casting blind is awesome, but what I dislike is that KRISTOFF will never not be a POC because he was originated by a POC. Which, I get the argument, but just wish casting was more fluid in both aspects. "

In Toronto they had a casting call for Kristoff for the tour version and the notice said "african american" only.

ACL2006 said: "what scheduling conflict? It was set to close in Toronto. So it's closing now on March 22 in Rochester instead of May 3 in Toronto. That sucks!"

The website still has Schenectedy listed. For the first week or so in May.  Im hoping they are goin somewhere else for those 6 weeks as Buffalo and Rochester only have seats very far back and I really want to see Carolee.  If only they announced when they found out and not after finding another s
