Tell Me On A Sunday
 Dec 29 2004, 04:56:46 PM
Tell me on... is set in London for the West end version with an English arctress, a little fish in a big pond

Does the american version have an american girl and the french version has...

erm...

do you think that art should be revised for it's audience, I don't personally think I do

It had lots of WW2 footage in it, so it wasn't so lovely. my only problem with it is people are soooo in love. My fav Hammerstein/Rogers is always CHAROUSEL (sp), but alas, in the 10 minute love scene, they fall in love
re: BROADWAY vs WEST END

The West End makes more money than broadway, I'd assume that it would be a bigger prize for investers than broadway.

Broadway is a road in New York

The West End is a whole section of London with theaters just dotted around, I like the west end more personally

just peter pan?

I dont think its as big in big london shows but every theatre in England has a panto over December of a fairy tale with modern songs, camp cheesy dance rutines, a "blue" dame and all sorts of glitter

Andy Webb's best stuff is the in-be-tweeny stuff. especially in EVITA.

also, he likes to write in 7/8 time to make his stuff a bit more interesting which is fun
